With MIT license, how should I include copyright info? Within code, or reflect it in a design?

Thanks!

Hi guys :)

Could anyone please help me with this? I can not figure out what I may use in themeforest html teplates I am making, and what I am not allowed to use…

For example: https://github.com/viljamis/ResponsiveSlides.js

It says: “Licensed under the MIT license.

Copyright© 2011-2012 Viljami Salminen, http://viljamis.com/

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.”

As far as I understand, I could use this slider, just I would have to include copyright info in my js file or on any place in code where any of slider code is used? Or does this copyright info have to show in design, so a visitor can see?

Other thing, I can hardly understand, what images can I use or not. I have read everything I could find on support about this, but still could not get much smarter…. :)

Does this apply to all MIT licensed scripts?

What about Creative Commons licenses?

Or I just have to look each file individually and make a decision – can or can not this file be used on my item?

Something similar about images, icons…. I just can not understand, what I may use, what not… MIT licenses? Creative Commons? Where to put copyright? In code? On design?

Thanks :)

Exactly thats what I am looking forward – submit a psd template, a html template and a WP template as a final touch.

Cheers, mate! :)

Hello guys :)

Is it OK for marketplace to approve one design from one author as three different items – one would be photoshop template, other one would be html template, third one would be WordPress template?

If yes, does WP template and HTML template packs have to include psd sources? Or may include psd sources? Or may not?

Or maybe it is answered in rules somewhere?

Thanks for info in advance. :)

I guess it depends on your country laws, but it might be something like:

Create a company > Pay Envato payments to company bank account > Pay income and every other necessary taxes > Pay yourself a salary (again, taxes may apply)

In any meanings, it would be very expensive for you to do. Taxes would eat a lot off. About a half. Depends on country laws, tax rates.

Hi Guys!

I have been looking for a source flash of top view racing game for a several times during a period of time about 5 years, and maybe even more. Yeah, really! :)

I have found several open source flash driving games, I have found some tutorials, but none was good enough. Some freebie fastfood I would say. Sorry, but that’s true.

So I am still looking for one ti grab and develop further. This could be an engine for a top view racing game. Like a framework for a designer to “dress up”. A car object to drive around, some track object, some obstacles etc… It could have some variables to change speed, acceleration, handbrake angle, weight of car object and obstacles, maybe…. etc. You get the point?

So I am asking, is there anybody of ActiveDen flash guys ot here available to make such an item? I would be the first to buy it, and I am pretty sure, if this engine would have good enough physics in it and car driveability, there would be tons of purchases.

Well, if you will think it is too much work for an Envato Marketplace item, then you may drop me a message via my profile mail form with you private offer! :)

Thank you in advance. :)

Any questions – very welcome! :)

In ideal world….

There even could be “searches history list” for authors. Maybe even actions after search – purchase happened, purchase did not happen, did user dive deeper in to search results or just immediately left… Authors could see what other users are searching for at most times and could fill in exact niche quickly. And, as a further example, user performed search and did not purchase any of given results – so somebody of authors picks up his request in search history and makes such an item. And user who performed this search gets a notification that a new item based on his recent search criteria has arrived! :)

If authors would see that search list is topped by 100 equests for “item type A” – they would really fast provide 10 items for those criteria! :) “Knock-knock, Mr Buyer, bunch of new goods you were searching for have arrived!”

Everybody happy! :D

Just some ‘small’ work to devs floor…. :hi: :D

If a certain category is overfilled, for example – business cards. It is not a bad thing from a buyers point of view. As a buyer, I just would like to have some more search/filter options! And I could find best suitable item for my case, not last submitted item, not item by a keyword “gloss menu”, or best selling item….

If a category has lots and lots of items, i might take a risk and look for a: - matte menu - gray, yellow - has search field - has hover states - has png sprites - no extra buttons

that is the way to go I think. More items – more options and filters!

Well, again, a golden ratio must be found here. It is very easy to overdose with options…

Just my two cents… :) Regards! :)
