All authors should know not copying or “being heavily inspired by” others’ works is not allowed. If a project looks too similar to another pre-existing project, it may cause an issue.
And the photos in trees projects?
Your very words in a thread I started a while back on the subject of duplicate projects…
“Regarding the “trackable photo” projects: this type of project is a concept, not a copyrighted idea. It’s the same thing for the hundreds of extruded logo projects out there. Just because we have one extruded logo project doesn’t mean we don’t accept more of them.”
I am not trying to use that as ammo or start a conflict or anything I just think it would be really useful for everyone on the marketplace to know what the rules were in black and white.
“Please just try to be more careful when you submit to make sure you’re not uploading works that were heavily inspired by other existing files [...] It’s much easier and safe to just stick with completely original work in future”
...so the millions of photo in trees projects will also be removed then?
Say for example you come up with some awesome way to animate a logo using spiderman’s face and fire and it sells a 100 times in it’s first day on the marketplace. What if then two weeks later two more logo animations pop up using spiderman’s face and fire? What would your opinion be on those other authors?
Yes Maupa’s logo extrusion is a little less specific than that but hopefully it will illustrate the point that there a million and one ways to create a file type, there isn’t really any excuse to create duplicate items.
“Come to London, it’s s*%t”
Ok, feel free to check out my portfolio, I have a few projects that could fit that description. There are A LOT of projects of that type on Videohive though so I wouldn’t know where to start in terms of other suggestions.
May need a few more details…

Anyone checked out his other thread? It’s a belter!!http://videohive.net/forums/thread/wordpress-design/111094
02. If you need any inspiration (everybody does !!) ... go to “popular items” page and refer to them .. because they are much up to date
I wouldn’t recommend using anyone’s work as ‘inspiration’. Think of a problem or a product that you would likely need or use and create it in your own style with new and interesting techniques. It’s the only real way to be successful.
