I’ve had similar 48 hour notices too, so I can’t complain. But otherwise your claim is reasonable.
Sorry, I don’t usually say anything about the review system and I never say “why doesn’t this get in and that did” or stuff like that, I understand what quality standards mean. But why doesn’t Envato also promote the same type of quality standards?
Accepting 30 WP files only + many others (joomla, drupal, etc etc etc) in 48 hours doesn’t do anything but say “these things are so easy to do that we can get 100 in at a time and nobody would tell the difference”. Is the review process ever going to be soft tuned so that we can see the same kinds of time exposure between items? Friday 2-3 got in, which stayed at the top until Monday noon (GMT), and then all hell broke loose.
I understand that buyers are not affected and Envato’s not affected either, but what about the devs who spend 1-2 months on an item and then see it go away from any kind of exposure almost instantly?
This has been discussed over and over again, longer review times are much better than extremely short exposure times.
Could somebody please give us some kind of reasoning to this process?
Out of curiosity. When your girl is in super hyper mode and you’re indoors and can’t go out, how loud of a noise is she usually making? (things boinking on the ground, her head vs the wooden floors, things like that :)) )
Thanks a lot!
@abhimanyusharma003 – it’s a Corgi. – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_Corgi
@Koev, yeah I know that it’s not good at all to think like that and shit yes, your themes are awesome. Becoming a bit of a workahoolic is extremely easy when freelancing and even easier when working for products for Themeforest. This is one of the important reasons why we want to take a dog because it’s gonna force us to live a better life.
Hehe :)) now that’s some amazing pep talk right there. You should become a motivational speaker :)). It won’t come until August because we need to solve a few problems until July and then have an awesome summer holiday, but right after coming back we’ll take him and I promise to post some pics.
Having to go out daily will be a bliss, at the moment I have times when I feel guilty for going out instead of staying in a work a bit more on the next release :)). (Stupid – and the sad part is that I don’t think I’m the only one around here who does that :)) )
Any other interesting life experiences you guys have to share?
Unfortunately we don’t have anything of the sort, although I really respect what such organizations are trying to do, especially because they probably don’t make it for profit.
@Purethemes – you’re obviously the better man here between all of us, but I’d also go Koev’s way here. I want to see him grow from a small pup and be able to relate to him ever since he’s still very young. That would help me a lot in turning him into a dog that knows what I need. Plus, I want a chocolate lab specifically (even though I love all dogs, this breed is my soft spot) and I really can’t find one of those in a shelter.
@theAlThemist – that’s an ideal situation – hopefully Coda (probably his future name) will read this post one morning and decide to be a good pup :)).
I know that he needs us, and I’m super willing to share all my life with him (making food, going out, doing stuff, etc) – just not to share my 8-9 hours of sleep and 8 hours of work (not necessarily packed together, can be split but not too far apart) – otherwise he’ll be the star of the show.
Actually probably my biggest fear is that he would take advantage of the fact that my office is home and that he’ll be around here with me all day and that eventually he’d bug me every 10 minutes.
@KingDog – thanks for moving it and sorry for that.
@theAlThemist – Koev, Hera looks wonderful and I bet she’s wonderful to have around (name sounds girlish to me, hope I didn’t screw that up :)) ).
I guess you were walking Hera every 2-3 hours because you wanted as little “jobs” :)) inside the house as possible, right? I’m pretty prepared for the first part of the pup’s life, I know it’s going to be hard.
How much do your 3 walks/day and the rest of the house training and petting take you overall in hours?
Does she have any kong-like toys? I’ve heard they’re amazing but don’t really know anybody with a few of those so I can know for sure and I’m kind of counting on them to distract him a bit as well.
