Thanks for the posts guys. Thought it sounded too good to be true! Will make sure I have rights or create my own.
This is a revelation! Thanks Artzone13!!
So are you saying, you can use any image you like in the demo as long as it’s credited and not supplied in the download? WOW! Really? Thought you would need the rights to even display in the demo?
Hello fellow TF authors!
I am designing a music press website I want to submit to Themeforest and would like to make it look as legit as possible by using CD cover artwork from various artists. I’ve done a bit of research and it looks like this isn’t possible rights wise. Does this mean I should mock design the 30 – 40 artist CD covers myself?
Any other suggestions from seasoned authors would be appreciated!
Is anyone else having trouble when viewing updated article templates through the preview app? I have updated the css but it seems to be caching the old version. I’ve tried logging out and back in again, clicking on different articles and “Refresh Publication” – none of which is sorting the issue. Loosing a bit of time on it and don’t have much left!
I found closing the app completely and then restarting it was sometimes needed.
It’s a bit of a pain — hopefully something they fix up at some point.Cheers, Eric
Yeah, had tried that with no luck. Thanks though Eric, will keep trying and hopefully see the updates.

Ah, that would be it, OK – Thanks Eric!
I’m working through the tutorials on typeengine.net now and hoping to get a theme together soon (my first ThemeForest submission!). Looks like the section is up on the site now, though it’s strange… I can only see the “TypeEngine” category beneath the “More” menu item when in Safari. When using Firefox and Chrome, it is not visible?
I’m new here and have been reading up on all the wonderful possibilities on themeforest and I’m super excited about becoming a contributing author! I saw there is a new opportunity with TypeEngine themes and would like to start there to try it all out with a view to move to wordPress at a later stage.
My question to you more seasoned authors is this -
Is it possible to use real content in the theme (in this case, a TypeEngine theme) to illustrate the design? So using real logo, real images and content to showcase and make it easier to design. This would be only with the companies permission of course!
If this is possible, I could then include a note in the instructions / description which states the copyright of the content and images?
Or – how do you usually go about designing your themes?
Any advise would be much appreciated – Thanks!
