Its so sad when a theme rejection comes with a generic reply. It kills the authors’ morale. Is it so sad to mention even one issue that needs the author’s attention.
Your theme is perfect and does not deserve a hard rejection at all. One thing that needs improvement is the navigation.
All the best.
Improve the overall design on these elements: section headers, image overlays, header, footer widget area, use and try to experiment with different typography and accent color.
Great work but you need to work on aesthetic improvement such as: color combinations, layout, top navigation and visual hierarchy.
All the best
Improve your images. Use different images to create a more visual appeal. Currently similar images in sections doesn’t elicit premium theme characteristics.
Reconsider color combinations.
Scroll anchors should scroll right above the section header, not cut through the header as its shown on your theme.
Overall, you have a great concept.
I wish you success.
What if the customer pays for the support pack and ends up not getting the support? Will the customer be entitled for a refund? And how will envato be tackling disputes concerning undelivered support?
Kill all the piracy links. http://killer.freshface.cz/
Thanks for this link.
I think an author either once ran or does run a site like this. And I have no doubt he/she had good intentions. But the problem is, there will always be people who want to make money with this type of service who don’t have good intentions. And these people are probably the ones who upload your stuff to warez in the first place. So because of that, we should always avoid these types of services. Warez is a never-ending battle, but if you care enough to fight it, FreshKiller makes it pretty easy.
Yes, Very true. These guys are the ones that uploaded your stuff on free sites and then want to get your money. They also contacted me last year and I never responded so they uploaded one of my themes to multiple sites to drive their point home. Very nasty guys.
I don’t care if my theme is downloaded for free. In fact its much better when I know these guys end up buying the theme because they will need an update after a few weeks.
Its very unfortunate that only difficult customers end up rating items and in most cases rate 1 star.
And if the same customer was satisfied, they don’t rate.
When I say “Difficult customers” I mean guys who ask weird questions like these:
1. Where do I install PSD?
2. I want to remove the top menu, how do I do that?
3. I can’t install this theme, I want a refund unless you install it for me. Will you?
4. My client want a dark background, how do I do that?
5. I can’t disable mobile site, I want refund? (While yet the theme uses media-queries)
...and the list goes on.
And they’re really serious about it and they expect answers. If you tell them the truth, they rate a 1 star.
I want Themeforest to include a review system where buyers give a reason for their rating. If not, then they can’t rate.
What if your competitor author (or any malicious person) buys your theme and gives it a 1 star so that your sales are affected. Its a possibility
I help all my customers fix bugs and errors and if they are happy, most don’t rate and the unhappy ones make sure they remember to rate. Biased rating affect sales.
TF comment system is tiresome and customers keep asking the same questions over and over. So I have resolved to use SupportPress to provide customer support because it has a search system that users can use to find solutions faster to an issue if it had previously been covered earlier. Moreover I can group comments into categories and each item can have its portal.
So I wanted to include Themeforest purchase code verification to prevent non-customers from requesting support.
Anyone with a clue on how to add purchase verification system to SupportPress? I tried all purchase verification plugins available and can’t make it work.
I would glad if someone helped because I believe there many authors facing the same problem.
