Hey guys, I want to re-record one of my tracks to improve the overall quality and mix, does anyone know the policy on this? Should I delete my track and then just upload a new version or can I just upload a newly recorded version?
Just go to edit on your item page and upload new files to replace old file and write in the notes area to the reviewer what you have done and want done. The way the review queue is now it should be super fast to change.
Wow that is fast. Looks like they have figured out a great review system, all though considering the wait times that other sites have, even a week was amazing considering the volume of uploads A.J. gets.
The only downside is if you upload to a high competition category with lots of uploads(corporate) your track will get pushed to the back pages way to fast like mine did. Its too bad because I see that people who have a break out hit and just squeeze their way into the bottom of the top seller list can’t seem to stay there.
I really wish there was a way to really promote new break out hits that have all the potential to become life changing(financially) songs. At least featured items on the main page should be the top selling item just uploaded the previous week. I see a lot of feature songs that are good but just don’t seem to sell even when featured. Its almost a waste.
There are some sites like bottledvideo com that have free footage to use with a credit but if you want to look professional and have videos that make the watcher think you are pro you should use videohive footage. Its way higher quality. They really have awesome stuff, plus you can find the right kind of footage to go with your music and you can show how well your song works with it and make someone want to use it as well and possibly get a sale and referral credit.
I have bought and used some VideoHive footage for my videos, mostly things I can loop over and over for the length of my song, time lapse stuff works nice. You can leave a referral link promoting their footage as well and maybe get a referral sale off someone who might need stock footage as well.
Its cool Timofey, just putting it out there because it seems like a lot of these types of topics lately. Plus you don’t want you to kill your chances of collaboration, if VideoHive guys read our forums they probably wont want to hook up with the author saying he can’t get any sales. Good Luck to you and hopefully things turn around for those having a hard time selling.
Plus in all fairness to slow times for you, you got to get more than 2 tracks out there.
Like mentioned before, be careful what you write on these forums, buyers do read them and any negativity is not good for anyone. Plus in business which this is and should be treated as, you should always project a positive image even when things are down.
Eirendin, your welcome to make a public collection on your profile page of other peoples works that you like, anyone can do this. Title the collection what ever you like.
Awesome work man, checked out all your tunes. Some good Legit metal music on audiojungle lately.
stephanus168 saidI follow a few and enjoy looking at their work and a few follow me but no collaboration yet. Best to listen to the kind of music they use and make sure your song can carry the same vibe and have a good arrangement they can use. Try messaging some authors that have not been spammed to death yet. You never know which small time or new author will come out with a project that becomes a hit over there in videohive land.
Sophonic saidThanks for the advice, well i was sending message to them with the same format and link about my item so they can check if it will be suitable for their project or not. It was kind of spamming, but i have no idea for the better way, do you have friends in videohive that you can introduce to me? if you are ok with that
Best way is to write good music they can use so they come to you. This topic has been brought up before, seems as if some of the Audiojungle people have come off a bit desperate to them. Best not to spam them. Although if u can make friends with some of them without coming off like spam Im sure they would be cool about working with you. Maybe try contacting a new up and coming author at VideoHive maybe you can do some custom work for him or her for free that you can also sell here on A.J., then hopefully that author blows up with sales. You can be sure top videohive authors get messages everyday.
I have made contact with a few after I purchased some of their stock footage that I use with my youtube promotion videos. I leave a link in my youtube video description to their item I used so if people want that stock footage they can have a direct link to it and videohive. So maybe you do a favor for them, then they can do something for you.
