Lots of helpful, encouraging posts on here.
Not even an acknowledgement from Green Eyes for all the attention.Don’t know about anyone else but why post the thread in the first place unless you were looking for encouragement, support or help from your peers?...which was given in spades. I mean really, what was the point? Weird and a bit pointless I think.
I think the guy was just wanting some attention/pity, and he probably got a lot more than expected haha. I think he’s probably keeping an eye on this thread. If he’s gone, why is his account still active with tracks on it?
Hey dude, before I saw Gareth’s post, I included my best seller in a pack (this was way before it took off). But now, both of them sell and the pack hasn’t stopped it from being on the top sellers. Just my experience though
Hey Brandon! That’s good to hear, thanks for sharing Well this week for me, my track has sold 7 times and the pack has sold 2. So I’m wondering, if I didn’t have it in the pack, would they have bought the track alone? Possibly helping the track to remain a top seller. Hmmm. I will leave it in there for now I think.
Yeah, you! Only kidding. I can’t really say it any better than Scott, he summed it up perfectly. Good luck.
When you say “i start working with clients, a lot of them want to make big jobs for small fees and i’m trying to keep them all because i don’t want to lose my reputation and my position on marketplace” i think here there’s a problem, you can’t work for small fee when it’s a command or something special for a client ! if you began like that than you have to explain that it was just for the beginning to show how you work well, and now you ask a raisonnable money…
@StudioLeBus Agree, but for me it’s much more important to not lose a client.
Then you will remain the cheap ‘go-to-guy’ to these clients, which is not a good thing in my opinion.
Great story, thanks for sharing. You look a little different compared to your profile picture
TJMusic saidIs that allowed? Would be interested to know!
What if I put only the basic version – faded out WAV – in the pack, and added information, that the buyer can get also MP3 and loopable version if buying the track separately?
Nope not allowed. Packs have to include all the stuff uploaded with the tracks
The only tracks you don’t want to include in music packs (generally speaking) are those that appear in the Popular Files list. You’ll know this usually after a month or two, sometimes less.
I was wondering if you could expand on this as I’ve been thinking about it this week and wondering whether or not to keep my first ever ‘popular item’ in a music pack I made months ago?
hi SoundFix. Gareth had some thoughts on this in a thread I started earlier this week. Check it out at http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/when-is-it-the-right-time-to-start-selling-your-music-in-packs/93031
Hey cheers dude I will!
Obviously music pack sales do not add to the items sales, possibly reducing the chance that said item will remain in the ‘Last Week’s Popular Items’ list. Any thoughts/opinions/experiences?
I use Logic Pro 9 and highly recommend it!
