My suggestion would be to try using spaces between the letters in the headers, as at the moment they are a little difficult to read.

Other than that, I like it! :D

Your better finding a technical forum for this.

But anyway, When I got my touch, I just plugged it in, downloaded iTunes and off it went…

So, when you plug it in is your PC recognising that it is connected?

Here at home I get no warnings and it appears to load without issue.

Saying that, I don’t have McAfee at home, just AVG and that hasn’t prompted with any virus warning.

Looks safe now :)

Interesting, McAfee prompts me with a virus alert, it seems to think a javascript file is infected (00000d44.js). I had a quick scan through the source code and see no reference to this file., but every time I open the page I get the same warning from McAfee.

I have been deciding over this too and I’m leaning more towards adding custon fields to the admin panel and then just linking to the images, and then adding a description field for each image.

I’m sorry that this has happened to you, but you have to admit both the themes in question were very similar and to prove who created what first is a difficult task.

You say 80% (and why does everyone quote 80%?) of the themes on here look the same which is true to some extent, a lot of them are based on the same concept, but what do you expect for a marketplace that has over 2000 listed themes? You mention Kriesi, a great author here and with his talent he has inspired many other authors to create themes based around his ideas. These are not copies in anyway, designers are inspired by many things, some from the look, the colours or just because a theme sells well. I’ve never seen Kriesi complain that any of the themes look the same as his, and looking at his sales he has no reason to, he inspires and as long as he produces more unique high quality themes people will always look for him for inspiration. (I’ve yet to see any themes on here that look identicle to his, but I can see some that were inspired… ;))

I don’t see how you were stabbed in the back, the author did what he thought was right to protect his work, he was in the right to do so. What would have happened if he had emailed you? You would deny it (which you are right to do so too) so then what?

You ask if we should submit our hard work? Well, the other 2000+ themes and the countless thousands of sales on here suggest yes. It would seem cases like these are rare, but that being said, I think Envato can help more in these situations.

Anyway, It is a horrible situation to be in, and I hope it gets resolved with a happy ending.

Ah, nto sure how that sounded, I’m tired and in need of sleep.. :)

What about a “non-profit organization” theme contest ?

How about something for the Haiti relief effort?

Something along the lines of, create a website for a non-profit organisation, the top 3 then get uploaded and all profit made from these 3 themes are donated to the Haiti relief effort?

The top 3 desgisn can be chosen by the community, and maybe to get everyone involved threads could be created for work in progress to get feedback and ideas from everyone?

And if Envato could give them full exposure across all its sites, not only would the Author get exposure, but it will greatly help those people in Haiti.

Just an idea and if you ask me, it’s a great way for this community to come together and help.

And while I mention fair ways of promoting new items / new authors etc – why bother tweeting about a file uploaded last month with 703 sales already – spread the love a little please.

I was wondering about this too, seems a little unfair that a select few get mentioned and the rest of us don’t…. anyhow…

I’ll +1 this too :D

I have been trying to upload to template but but when i use the upload button and start the upload of theme file it shows item saved and just disappears from the uploaded file list and this is very frustrating . Is anyone else facing same problem ?

I had this problem too, when I last tried it on my home PC, it would upload, say it had been saved and then disappear. I tried it in multiple browsers (Firefox, IE and Chrome) all with the same issue. I tried the usual clear temp internet files and what not all with no success.

The last lot of files I uploaded I did at work without any issues.

I’ll give it another try at home tonight.
