Good start, however it will need more work.

1. Animations are jugged.

2. Add more spacing at the bottom of sections.

3. The text for tabs on “We design creative interface for different devices” is too large which creates a bit of chaos between all text elements in this section.

4. Too much line-height for body text in the same section. Make it tighter and text smaller.

5. Same goes for text in about section. If you have red on black which makes it hard to read, make the text larger for it to be read/skimmed easier.

6. Quotes section – you have quote marks hanging above quote text. Is it deliberately so? Even if so, it looks out of place. Move the quote marks on the left side of the quote or think of other representation of the quote to identify the section.

7. Images look squashed at tablet size. They need to resize in width and height.

Love the portfolio images, btw! Can you share where you got them from?

Honestly, I really like it!

Some suggestions (IMHO):

1. I would remove the slider on the right and let it slide as usual

2. Add more space between navigation and portfolio items

3. Try adding a semi-transparent overlay of say, black color to make portfolio less standout. The menu and portfolio are contrasting too much with each other.

4. Shortcodes page feels a bit unfinished. What could be “finished” about shortcodes, right? :) Try a full width white layout, the boxed one looks too tight when close to the menu. Same advice for Contact page.

5. For the Blog page – add more posts, audio, video with images, to show the functionality and possibilities better.

6. Not sure if I like white on green menu items. Not legible enough.

Good luck! You have a pretty good theme and concept!

Sincerely, Kate

The theme needs to be high quality. Take a look at themes here on TF and compare yours to them. And see how you could make yours better or at least on par with them, then make it unique :)

I meant most elements – rhombuses look generic because many themes use them here.

I would work on typography and alignment. I like the contrasts, but the elements are a bit generic and there’s no footer.

I would suggest you to go with max 1800px, but I don’t believe such rule exists. And you can always make an adaptation for retina screen, which doubles the pixels. Most people use 1170 grid nowadays, and use 1600px for max width – which is more than enough.

Thank you for your answer! I was confused with 900px wide preview image restriction from Envato docs so decided to consult with fellow authors :)

Thanks again for your help!

Hello everyone!

I’m helping a friend to prepare a file for upload to PSD category and she was wondering what is the maximum width for preview images (pages).

Could you please advise on this? I’d really appreciate any help.

Sincerely, Kate

Hi Sparky, Thank you a lot for response.

can you explain me a bit on ” The floating popup on the right from it needs more spacing on the left inside the box. Maybe align the buttons in the popup to the center or left?”

Thanks again.

Sorry for not responding sooner (I didn’t receive notification of your reply). I meant the pop up with “Josh” in it, at the top of the website, when it loads the first time – add more space around the text in the popup.

I think Quick Mail heading and its icon needs better alignment, right now the icon floats somewhere at the top.

When first loading the page, you have a logo Josh with grey background on the left hand side, at the top – make it pretty :) The floating popup on the right from it needs more spacing on the left inside the box. Maybe align the buttons in the popup to the center or left?

Otherwise, great improvement from your first demo link. Great work!

I agree, there needs to be more padding above the navigation, it feels a bit squeezed at the moment. Add more breezing room for all sections.

I would give paragraph text a bit different treatment. Why not try using a more concise feeling? I think it would go nice and tidy with the large heading settings.

I tried:

p {
   font-size: 15px;
   line-height: 23px;
   font-weight: 500;
}

Also, the buttons might be slightly larger in width.

I don’t quite like the blue color – currently it clashes with the rest of color scheme. I would give a darker, navy blue a try.

“What they say” slider – the buttons are not legible over a dark background, make them white, maybe? The pictures might want more unique treatment.

Contact form (on home) feels dull. No offense intended. Maybe center a large textarea and reposition the input fields to create more dynamic feeling?

Footer feels unorganized and crowded. Do you really need all that information in there? If so, a better content hierarchy might be wanted here as well – the text could be much smaller.

Blog feels crowded.
