Ok, so the theme author looks to have pulled all their themes off of ThemeForest and I need help to clear the WP 3.5 errors I’m getting since upgrading.
I will not be getting another theme anytime soon as it is a complex Ecommerce theme and not easily replaced. Really, I’m a bit stunned because they were a top seller with over 10,000 sales.
Which makes this potentially lucrative since I think many will be looking for a fix and/or an ongoing developer who can maintain the theme from here on in (or at least until they switch themes or software). Same here, I wouldn’t mind having a developer I can contact again in the future for customizations or bug fixes.
There has been some twitter talk already (author still on twitter, but silent as a ghost) so I think you can safely contact some of these people to offer the same fix and/or continued support. Your business, not mine – not looking for a cut…although a discount would be nice
The theme in question is/was called The Furniture Store. They had a few others (all ecommerce I believe): The Clothes Shop and The Jewellery Store were a couple of the other big sellers they had.
I do need the help so let me know if you’re interested, and thanks!
Nope, not the only typophiles – I made a similar comment here earlier today:
I also noticed the c and r in graphicriver…a case of the yucks is indeed a perfect descriptive. Now, what can we do to get them to change it? Hopefully, enough people voice up here and they maight take notice.
thanks fellas for validating my neurosis. Spooken
I love everything about the new design except for the title font. I hate it! With a passion! Sorry, but it’s such an eyesore and it’s used everywhere: the logo, the post-titles and the worst is the price on a product’s details page (upper-right-hand). It’s just too thin and/or too tall and it kills the overall “pleasantness” of the design.
Everything else is great! Love the easy site-switcher, the category drop-down, and the layout but unfortunatley that font just screws up the “look”. It would’ve been better to get a thicker, weightier font that didn’t need to be so tall to look important. As it is, in some places it looks wonky, or pixelated/distorted somehow. Look at the Graphicriver logo: the c and r are way too close together compared to the other lteer spacing. Just not good. A better one might’ve been the font used for the envato logo…or something else…just, please get rid of that font.
Sorry about the rant and thanks for the redesign in general as it is otherwise awesome! Spooken
