Well for me it was a different scenario…someone bought an item and rated it 1 star. As soon as they did this, the item stopped selling. It was selling practically every day until then. As a consequence of it sitting there with 1 star and therefore having little hope of being listened to again, I have removed that item. Envato: whether the customer thought 1 star was the best rating to give, instead of the 5 star, or whether they really decided to buy an item and then rate it 1 star, I think that the rating system as it stands, is not useful for AudioJungle.

This rating system should perhaps not exist for AudioJungle. I know it has been mentioned before. I wonder why it still exists? Does it really serve a purpose for AudioJungle?

Someone recently purchased an item. It had already sold 3 times before. But after they bought it they rated it 1 star. Does this make sense? They spent money on the audio track (which has a preview for free, to check if you like it first before buying), and decided after buying it to rate it only 1 star? Another customer contacted me soon after and told me they just rated it 5 stars, and did not understand the 1 star rating it previously got!

Envato staff, if you read this…please can you reconsider having a star rating system for AudioJungle? Personally, I do not think it is needed and may give buyers the wrong impression if someone strangely buys a track and then rates it 1 star! I am sure the reviewers of items on AudioJungle would not let a 1 star track through the review process in the first place.
