Not sure how possible this will be to keep it author only, as anyone can technically be an “author” and get the badge to say they are an author. I guess it could be decided on if they have an item for sale or not, but then technically that leaves quite a few new authors out.

The theme settings are most likely stored within the database, and so shouldn’t be lost when you update the theme.

The greyscale plugin will only be run on load, and won’t be re-run when the new items are loaded.

Your best but would be to put your greyscale code into a function, that you run on load, and also when new items are loaded.

I can’t imagine not using Dropbox to be honest. I use it every day. Keeping in sync between 2 people with a shared folder and having it everywhere I am on every device I own can’t be matched with any other service/method that I’ve tried before.
