Well, this kinda sucks because the author probably had few items in the pipeline, with resubmissions from soft rejects (this happens all the time to everyone on TF). And suddenly got approved on both of them at the same time. This model is really not working.
Guys, you are totally going offtopic! I am also curious what Envato has to say to its business partners in this topic, stop littering it
Great news fellas! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you, you are developing unique stuff Congratulations, keep up the good work!
Of course you are right about less competition, but you need to take a look from a perspective of flexibility of those themes. If I was running niche business, I would work on making it look different than others. This is easier with multipurpose themes. What is more niche themes may get old much faster than simple multipurpose ones.
I think it’s better to do a safe design for “all purposes”, but with a delicate accent of some innovation. Then users get what they want, your theme gets exposure – it’s a win-win situation. Niche themes can have really short life I think, you may sell 500 copies first month, and end up a year with 550 overall sold copies.
Just starting the training in 30mins, wish me good luck guys
So much sweets here that I had to toss even more Congratulations guys! Good to be partnering with you!
