Quality vs quantity is certainly a subject that has been around the forums quite sometime. I personally have refrained using the words “bad”/”good” to describe a design, since I believe quality is objective (at least to a great extend).

It’s better to have 10,000 high quality items, then to have 100,000 low quality items, but problem in this case is also “bad” buyers (or to say buyers without knowledge about design), so there is always people who will buy those low quality items.
Many of the “spammers” you might refer to (that have entered the marketplace when the review queue problem emerged about six months ago) they are pretty good designers i would say wit awesome portfolio especially on the logo category

Some authors are working really hard to create high quality items, but on the other side there is just spammers (authors – not machines). They are weak point of Envato, and you (Envato) need to “destroy” them.
You have a point on this, but keep in mind the way the search works here the first items that show up are the ones with the most sales leaving new items lower on the search, resulting on lower sales for the new items. This doesn’t mean anything.

Maybe those (low quality) items are only for me “LOW”, but as I can see for 2-3 months they have only 1-2 sale(s), that’s not good, because there is 100 (or more) items with 2-3k of sales, so you just destroying potential buyers giving them low quality items.
Unfortunately for Envato money is everything (it is a business after all) and quantity seems to work better than “quality” for them. Ohh.. and there should always be a room for young designers or else design will be lost after the last generation of designer dies

At the end It’s not all about money. Money is important, but It’s better to have excellent designers who will work for Envato, then to have wanna be designers.
I think people should be left free to do what they want man! And if you cannot keep up with the hobbyists, that probably means you are not a professional either.

This is serious job, not stupid hoby!

If you look on the graph it seems like the downfall started somewhere on last november. When the review queue problem started… and the rival sites emerged!!!

I had faced this issue once! Apparently it was my mistake cause I was confused with the upload slots and put the preview image on the image set. The reviewer unfortunately could not make the connection.

Legues I sent you a pm with links.
Thanks a lot matey!!!! I really appreciate your help!! :) I did a support ticket with this situation!!! :) I don´t believe why Envato in general is so “calm” in this kind of situation – we lose money but they too!!!!!!
Unfortunately my friend the money they loose are basically peanuts for Envato. The earnings envato makes from all the gr authors combined cannot even reach the 1/10 of a medium caliber theme from the forest. So they just don’t care
Funny this comment!!! Do you think that Themeforest market don´t suffer with piracy websites?? Start a soft search on google!!! There exist websites that publish in real time the newest websites launched on Themeforest!!! They don´t care???!!! WI don´t think so…

You are right on this buddy but still the money envato makes are uncountable and most theme authors have developed an update system only for their clients. So when essential browser updates come in to play may affect the functionality of the earlier theme versions and no licence means no update (at least more difficult)!!!
