Here they come! To kick things off, the CEO Hack Week Challenge presents the New Waveform Audio Player on AudioJungle. Those guys’d love to know what you think. Stay tuned for more CEO Challenge specials as the week unfolds!

IMPORTANT!

The player doesn’t work at all for me on FireFox 37.0.1! (latest release) Doesn’t even fall back to old player – it just hangs on the loading icon.

I’m excited for the improvement, but right now it seems anyone using the latest version of FF can’t listen to songs. GAH.

UPDATE: Seems the team is now aware of the problem on the AJ side of things :)

Well,... that’s the thing – I actually don’t know :)

Does anyone have any first hand experience using notation software with Reaper? It’s not usually something I require, but I have a few projects going on where I need different tracks in sheet music arrangements.

Any help is much appreciate!! Thanks :)

For anyone who has used 5 and made the upgrade to 6 (regular, not advanced)—do you feel it’s worth it? I’ve got 5 and love it, but haven’t pulled the trigger on the upgrade. It looks to me like mostly a reskinning. The really awesome new features seem to be exclusive to the advanced version. Any thoughts?

The things that sold me were:

1.) Stand alone mode 2.) The new dynamic equalizer (but only in advanced).

By far however,

3.) The auto gain compensation when bypassing the modules. Gone are the days of your treated audio sounding (obviously) better because its louder with Ozone on. If you don’t understand what I mean, there is a little ear icon that you can activate that will make your bypassed signal as loud as your mastered signal so your ears can hear what the other modules are doing. Other wise when you bypass back and forth you are always going to prefer the non-bypassed version simply because it’s louder. So, now you can actually hear with precision how the changes you make are affecting your audio. You hit bypass and there is no change in volume at all. Love it.

Honestly, you could easily still make great sounding masters with Ozone 5, but I have noticed that the improvements have been making my test tracks better, as there are simply more tools at your disposal.

Another great thing is you can now add third party plug-ins into the chain.

Hey Matthew,

How about stand alone mode? Same problem?

I use Ozone 6. I’d do a complete uninstall / re-install. Just make sure to say a copy of any custom presets somewhere.

Oh, after the re-install make sure to restart your cpu before opening again. My suggestion :)

Great video and piece Adi :)

Fun to watch someone else work! I feel like I am from another planet how differently I work though haha. I pull bits ands pieces together from all over the place, sometimes write the end of the song first working back to the beginning, and do a lot of other really unusual things!

Thanks for posting.

Dear Envato / Collis,

So… I was contacted by the Canadian government today :)

I have a very serious question:

I would ask this privately, but as I’m not the only Canadian here, I thought it beneficial to get a public response.

As of February 1, 2015, is HST being charged to Canadian buyers when the “seller” is Canadian, and if yes, how is this being remitted?

As we’re running a Canadian Corporation (King’s Crown Productions Inc.) HST must be charged at the point of sale. This must also be calculated and stated on our invoices.

Thank you in advance for your reply!

Can you actually use a PO box address on an invoice? I thought it needed to be the registered location of the business for tax purposes.

Maybe I should set up office actually in a PO box.

Looks like I need some good old fashioned legal advice.

I sure am, using our corporate P.O Box. If my home address was listed on those invoices I would have been FURIOUS. This puts a lot of people in a dangerous position. A literal danger.

I will be looking into the legality of Envato issuing invoices on behalf of another corporation without it’s consent, as that is exactly what they are doing to us. This next chapter should be interesting.

Hey Unodor, technically, the buyer has a right to give a rating for each of those purchases. Just a thought for you ;) Might be worth your time securing those ratings.

Hey now, AudioJungle is looking a little pinker today :)

Congrats PZ! Awesome feeling right? I am happy you have made it to the very top, and am happy for your success – truly! Strong talent makes a stronger marketplace for us all.

The question is, will Tim McMorris respond to this threat to his supremacy? He needs to release a mega hit and get his top spot back.

Naaa haha. I don’t see moving down a step (or even a few steps) as threatening. Got more than enough work to keep me busy :) Touching the coveted spot will teach you one thing for sure: The only one worth really competing against is yourself. You will pass people, and you will be passed. It’s better if you see AJ as a place where we are all on the same team. Yeah there is competition, but we can do it in a way that we keep pushing and cheering eachother on. I think this has been the marketplaces greatest success.

I actually found getting to the top a little bitter sweet, you feel like you climbed Mount Everest to get to the top, and then you’re there and it’s like…..now what. haha.

So again, a huge congrats to you PZ, I am excited for you! When I get some more time, you better believe I’m going to be trying to get it back :)
