That’s interesting, but,i don’t think creativity matters a lot in this business, when i produce royalty free music i always see it as a grind and i don’t need much creativity because most of the times i produce music that i don’t really like but the music that i think that will sell. Tried making music i like, didn’t work
That’s a bit bleak! Surely there are creative decisions to be made, whatever kind of music you are making?
I’m planning to get a track mastered by a professional for the first time. How would I go about finding someone good to master it? It’s basically a “lite rock” track in style. I mean it can be done over email can’t it, so I could work with someone anywhere in the UK? I’m in Glasgow so I’m sure there are some good options here as well. How much do you pay for getting one track mastered? I want with and without vocals versions of the track, so does that count as 2 tracks or 1?
I would appreciate any advice you can give. If you know someone who’s great at mastering rock / guitar music, feel free to recommend them! Cheers
You have to ask yourself for permission to use the track. If you say yes, you can use it.
^ Doesn’t look a day older than 29. Wait, let me just find my glasses…
That’s what gamers call a ragequit!
I only make music, but I’ve had some very nice comments from reviewers that loved the music I uploaded. And the songs I’ve had rejected, when I listen again it’s easy to see why. Soft rejections have helped me a lot, so I kinda like being judged by professionals instead of being on a website full of crap that no one wants.
I feel the same, reviewers have helped me improve a lot. They’ve always given me good feedback when I needed it.
Maybe the dudes who are angry about their rejections can go and create their own marketplace, they could call it TurdCreek.
