I noticed that when you are looking at someones Program they submitted the images for what file types are included are broken.
I am using Google Chrome and checked in IE8 and still both are broken.
I just submitted a new item and say that PHP Frameworks were added to the upload list. Because of different types of Frameworks, is it possible to include a free text field or are the ones listed only the “supported” frameworks?
For instance I use Seagull Framework (which is built from PEAR ). And if I were to create a site using it there is no way for me to specifically say it is using that framework besides in the description.
I guess I will share my stories as I am extremely happy with the way things have turned out for myself.
When I was in high school I first learned a language called Turing, which then I created a free website for it (all html). From there my passion for Web grew pretty fast. I quickly started to learn PHP and MySQL. By the time I was in grade 12 I had a semi-successful free website and landed my first job. It wasn’t Web but it was programming in FoxPro (gross lol).
After a year of grade 13 (OAC) I went to college and continued on the software route learning .NET, Java, Cobol / Kicks, etc. However, it was then during my first semester I started up another website that was popular for a while until I let it die
(my fault). But during that time frame I learned enough on my own to create websites for myself and others. Through my schooling I was hired by a private start up company which I had created Print Management software for them.
However, after working for 5 years with them I was in the midst of doing .NET and ASP for that company (while for my own company doing PHP ) I landed my current job.
I am now 26 working for a University as the Senior Web Developer (while managing my own company). I work all day in PHP , MySQL, Oracle and on Web Servers. Even though I didn’t take the “direct route” to what I liked (web) it all worked out in the end. And I am very happy with the way things turned out and like many have said before.
If it is your passion then you need to find a way to do it. My passion was on the web instead of Software. It took a little bit to switch but I am here now doing what I like to do.
BillyOcean,
I have replied to your email.
Thanks, Mickey
Just a couple of questions so not only I know what you want exactly but others
- Are you looking for Username / Passwords
- Are you looking to have Multiple Usernames
- Are you looking to have different Roles (Administrator, Moderator, User)
- Are you willing to edit the pre-existing files for new Include Files (such as PHP )
- Do you have access to Apache Configuration file (.htaccess)
- Is this an ASAP thing, or what is the date you need this by
Thanks,
Billy Send me an email through my profile and I am sure we can quickly work something out.
What kind of server technology are you looking for? .htaccess, PHP , ASP?
I took a quick look at the source, I don’t see anywhere in your html an ID for ‘subForm’ no do I see a submit button (Only Image button). Any reason why they are missing? You could give your submit image an Identifier and have that being the event.
gate0keeper, so you are basically looking for a bookmarking system with the ability to have categories, along with easy integration into any system?
Right… ?
Nice fine! I definitely entered
