Do you even understand your own license which you provide with the theme files? It says you can not encrypt your WordPress code because it is Open source. Encrypting the code is against WordPress license.

Whoa, take it easy man… I didn’t encrypt any of my WP codes or files. Theme package already includes every source code and it doesn’t violate the general WP license. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out. :)

@IndustrialThemes – That won’t be a problem. :)

Hi did anybody tested OptionTree with the latest WordPress 3.5 beta 2? It seems that there are some problems with “select” in forms – it’s not displaying correctly. I’m curious is it only in my theme or by default ;)

Hi purethemes,

I just tested my theme with WP 3.5 and I’m having the display issue of “select” in forms too. They didn’t show up and there’s JavaScript error as:

http://postimage.org/image/q4jfidxdp/full/

I think I have registered OptionTree properly as the instruction said but, in this case, I just have no idea what’s wrong with it. It used to be fine in WP 3.4.2. :S

Could you please share a solution? Or do you have any idea which part I have to modify to get rid of this problem?

Thank you. :)

@UXbarn, How do we know exactly what content / site going to be censored – did that Google page mentioned anything particular? Collecting a voice for “nothing” shows something wrong on google’s side! Information is more powerful than emotion! That google page doesn’t looks like informative!

The summary is in this page: https://www.google.com/intl/en/takeaction/whats-at-stake/. There is also “More voices” section below for related information.

Anyway, currently we can’t know which contents and websites are going to be censored but if the censorship proposal is there, who knows, one day it may affect us without prior notice.

If we have a chance to prevent it before it is going to happen, I think it would be better.

That google page managed to give me the impression that Governments doing evil activity just via the black graphics on that page. And other people related to media are showed as “colorful”. This doesn’t seems like result of openness but twisting the point of views :D

What exactly the governments decided – or going to decide? I don’t think just an effort towards censorship is not an evil activity – better wait and see what goverments comes with and then show the restriction if needed. As of now it looks like google trying to govern things as if they are taking all the responsibilities of issues caused by openness :P

I agree to your point about making governments look evil in the graphic but I think we’d better look at the context they are trying to say.

What if one day you couldn’t access ThemeForest with the censorship policy? Or perhaps other websites you like? Don’t you think that is a restriction against our freedom to access any information over the Internet?

Looking at the context, regardless of whoever setup the campaign, I think what they are doing is right for people globally. :)

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is trying to increase censorship and regulate our Internet. Let’s have our voices against them for our Internet!

https://www.google.com/intl/en/takeaction/

It’s very ridiculous about this meeting to control the Internet usage and, AFAIK , they also want to set the policy about an extra fee for accessing the information.

Google then setup the “Take Action” campaign to collect our voices. I totally agree with the quote:

A free and open world depends on a free and open Internet. Governments alone, working behind closed doors, should not direct its future. The billions of people around the globe who use the Internet should have a voice.

So, let’s vote for our future!

@gbs:

Acronis looks great to me too! Did you also get “Plus Pack” for True Image? I’m wondering that do I need to buy it and can I completely manage my backup & restoration without it? Any advice?

@Parallelus:

Your solution is awesome but it sounds very complicated to me. :mad:

I agree with you about the built-in backup system from Windows 7. Unbelievably, I couldn’t even create a system image so that’s why I’ve never tried going further with it too. :(

I used to use Memeo Premium before but decided to stop using it after re-installing the OS. It often crashes while doing backup and doesn’t work properly like you said and yeah, it already took me $49.95 for nothing. (The strange thing is that the problems never happened within a trial period, lol.)
