Hey guys,

I am wondering if you have any information about using audiojungle sound effects in a theme, how does that work, is it allowed? Do I have to contact the file author to get permission? There is no Extended license option for the files I want to use.

Cheers

I think that if you clearly state that the font is not included in the package it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s just like when you make the theme compatible with premium plugins but you don’t include them in your theme.

Yup, I agree on this one, and I think reviewers need to change their behavior while not acting as Robots.

@ImanGM : This is due to review process, and I’m just fine with soft rejects, they do really improve the product, but the problem is the procedure by stopping at the first problem they find leaving chances for another soft reject

@Enabled : Beside the staff replies I really wanted to hear what the community got to say, it’s not a riot, it’s just a problem, and after all it is a community all of this. Back to the thread, you’re saying that they don’t go through all the problems, as they have to deal with lot of files, and this is perfectly fine for the first time, but after the item is passed it means it meets 95% of the requirements, so why wont you hold on all the problem it got and deal with them for good.

@Enabled

This one will be simple :

This is reasonable for the first soft-reject, not at the 8th one, you see the difference ?!

Hey Umbrella,

I’m a massive fan of your portfolio by the way :)

I’m currently having a hard time with “data validation” and the reviewers, something that’s never been brought up before, I’m now waiting 2 days on a resubmission.

That’s really good to hear, from another great author.

I would love to hear from anyone at their staff what hey got to say about this.

I understand its frustrating going back and forth with soft rejections but from a reviewers perspective it’s probably impossible for them to see all the problems at once.

I think we should have a thread where everyone posts there soft rejection reasons. e.g

- please provide description for widgetareas
- remove the license files, it will be auto generated

We could compile a huge checklist of things we need to go through and make the reviewers jobs a little less harder.

I don’t get it, how come that a reviewer can’t figure out all problems at once ?

If the upcoming problems are not caused by theme updates, from a previous reject than a reviewer should be able figure out everything that is wrong with that theme.

If he is not being able to find it from the first place, than I know someone which is able, that’s not an impossible task, it is just lack of dedication.

This indicates on 2 really important things : 1 ) Decreases the team motivation dramatically
2 ) Make’s me think that I can do this as well, and reply to our support forum tickets on the same way, and everyone is a looser in this situation.

This is just procrastination.

As @ThemeBeans said there’s priority on those giants, and a higher commission in new ones, as the rest of us pray for mercy.

Hi

It’s been a month since we uploaded a file and it is going back and forth, and I don’t know how long will last since authors will gone for good because of this.

The reviewers are failing to do their job big time

We truly understand that new themes need more time on home page and this is the reason of the delay.

We truly understand that all the problems should be fixed and packed correctly.

But what we don’t understand is : HOW ON EARTH ARE YOU NOT BEING ABLE TO MARK ALL THE PROBLEMS ONCE.

What the reviewers are doing is, they get a single problem and attach a template message like install the dummy content from WordPress and make sure this and make sure that, but they never go more than a single step and if that is your job, than you are failing big time doing it.

I think the main problem stands with the first section (slider and header)

1. Too much space between the slider main heading, the paragraph and the buttons The second heading “Intuitive drag and drop” just does not feel right to be there with the other elements, font is too bold 2. More space on top for the header and decrease a little the font size and font-weight of the menu
