at first of all, we really appreciate your efforts. After our “complaints” inside this thread you came back to us immediately and promised us to send us the missing item ( Power Elite Shirt ). This is now a month ago and even after writing you again, we never heard back from you. We can totally understand if you are busy or if things can take longer than usual, but not answering is simply wrong in so many ways …

Hi,

we have also received your email after month of silence. While we really appreciate your efforts in this case, I’m afraid the short answer to “tommusrhodus” is still “yes”. As mad dog already stated it’s a bunch of work to get this status. The celebration which took place in the past ( Happy Author Day ) was more than appropriate.

Being featured on the front page, paired with video interviews and lovely made Blog entries, made authors more human and touchable for customers and delivered a feeling of being a community.

Nowadays we receive a Blog entry inside a Blog where the audience is limited to a few people.. sorry but this is simply “annoying”.

About 195 people wrote Andrew his greetings and I’m pretty sure he was the last author featured this way. And now we grab up a post which came when the Author Day was removed:

We have 5 posts for an author who sells thousand of copies each month… For us a definitely proof that the Blog is simply dead.

An a personal note: besides the fact, that we received an elite care package ( with the same content as we received for the 75.000 milestone )... our package wasn’t complete. We kindly asked for the missing items inside several Emails but never received an answer or a package. Even the letter which came with the package wasn’t personalized …

At the same time, we’re also thinking about how we can evolve and refine the program for the future.

Why reinventing the wheel? Why the Author day has been removed? To be honest, we have a bad feeling that everyone who has reached the 1M Milestone in the past few month is already lost in the process of unnecessary changes.

More than 3 month past. Still nothing from Envato. Guys, maybe it’s time to remove the “rewards” from Envato Elite site?

Hi,

well, to be honest we felt the same when reaching the 1 Million Milestone, while we were proud of this step Envato doesn’t seem to be. It took weeks until we received an Email from Envato and to be honest we expected a bit more than just an animated gif.

With our Power Elite Package we only received “One T Shirt” while we kindly asked for two ( We are 2 Guys behind the scenes ). The letter which was part of the package was the same we received with the 75k Milestone. No personal Notes or Greetings. Since the “Happy Author Day” has been removed as well, there is not much left to celebrate this step, very sad.

Hi,

a few weeks ago we received a bad rating from a customer who wasn’t happy with one of our themes. He managed to find his way into our support forum and asked a few questions about the theme setup and stuff like that. At the same time he asked Envato for a refund, which was granted by Envato a few days later. While the user was still in our forum, he constantly received support and it turned out, that in meantime he is happy with the theme and our support. But he not mentioned that he has been refunded in the past.

We kindly asked him to change his rating, because if everything is fine, there is no need to leave a bad rating. Starting from this point we did not heard back from the customer, so we decided to cut the theme support for him and suspended the user account. Today he wrote us again on the forums , with a new account and a new purchase key, asking why he has been banned and if this ban has something to do with the refund a few weeks ago.

How can it be, that ratings remain inside the system even if the customer received a refund?

Why do we not get an information which user received a refund? Where is the deal to help and support people who own a free copy of our theme and gave us a bad rating?

So we are not able to answer on bad ratings ( which are 90% wacko at the current stage ) as if this wasn’t enough , bad ratings of refunded items remain…

Could you please clarify the situation? An official reply is highly appreciated

Hi,

before you attempt to upload your Theme you must unzip the downloaded folder. Why? The extra files it contains can cause strange issues to occur in your theme’s functionality. Only upload the inner zip folder named “brooklyn” and install your theme through the WordPress admin installer located under

Appearance > Themes > Install.

If this way to install the theme fails, we recommend to use FTP.

Open your FTP client and move to your WordPress installation path. Drag&Drop the theme-name folder into the following path:

wp-content/themes/

Now go to your Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and activate the theme.
