We’ve solved our problem elsewhere, quite a while back if you’ve been following this thread. However, I’ve stayed subscribed, just to see how long something like this will go on. This problem has become a JOKE Themeforest!

As big as your are, you have absolutely no excuse for being unable to take control of the problem and your own payment gateway. You’re losing dedicated customers, that seldom looked elsewhere, ourselves included… and you are continuing to do so every day this continues.

I find it hard to believe that this has gone on this long with no apparent concern on from the MANAGEMENT of Themeforest! I personally have lost a great deal of trust and respect in you and I’m positive I’m not the only one here. As hnsight_the pointed out above, we’re just the few dedicated customers that cared enough to bitch about it here. Or we’re here for our client’s sake, or because of a developer we like, most people have long moved on.

Seriously, who are you guys? We thought you were pretty tech savvy. You look like you have your shit together. But right now, at least to most of us here, you really look pretty lame! Are paypal and moneybookers really the best solution you can come up with for something this size?

People, contact your developers, they need to be kept abreast of this situation as well. They put a lot of time and work into their product and have more to lose here than anyone else. Trust me, those I have been in contact with are concerned and it’s obvious by this thread, that it’s going to take more than us bitching about Themeforest, to move Envato to a real solution.

Good luck with it guys!

Have you opened up a ticket with Support Upstream? If you can give me your ticket number I can get them to look at it right now. Thanks!

I found an email I sent after not hearing back from support on the original ticket: This is the ticket number I quoted. Ticket ID: 253542

Sure, in fact I think I did… but it’s been a couple of months ago now and I’m not sure if I can even find the ticket number now. I went to Theamforest for support first, but wasn’t helped at all. Instead I was referred to this thread. If you will look back through the posts here you will find there are several from us (over the last couple of months) asking questions about “our problem specifically”, questions that were never answered here or anywhere else. In fact, support at TF did nothing more than point us to this thread and I’ve gotten little response here with out being an ass about it. As good an experience as I’ve had with Themeforest over the last three years or so. I’ve been extremely disappointed with support on this issue. Between that and the fact that we haven’t been able to complete a transaction for months… we went elsewhere. Which I’m sure is what everyone else is here is doing. Most of us are working for clients who could care less about your PayPal problems.

What a joke! This is business for us man! Who here gives a damn about PayPay or their bullshit problems… all of our cards work elsewhere and that seems to be the case with everyone else here, enough said, done! We’re all here trying to spend our money with YOU ! If PayPay does a shit job, and that should be obvious by the posts here, do something about it other than giving us lip service. We’re not losing confidence in PayPay here, that was gone years ago! WE’RE LOSING CONFIDENCE IN YOU and so are your developers. In the last three or four weeks you have lost 80% of our business (more that $1000 of their money) and we’re actively looking for and spending our money ELSEWHERE , for the first time ever! As it turns out, your not the ONLY game in town after all guys!

Hi Carmen, Thanks for your response… but I don’t think you, or anyone else at Envato, is reading through our previous posts or support tickets. This has gone on for several weeks now and we are doing (and have been doing), exactly what you are suggesting above. We DO NOT have a PayPal account (We gave up on PayPal years ago). We are simply trying to add credits to our Envato account by paying directly through your site and gateway, in fact two of the cards we have tried have been used to fund this account before.

From a previous post: “We’ve now tried three different credit cards issued in three different countries including the US, the UK and Peru. All with the same result… online the order looks like it goes through, we even get a email from PayPal confirming this… but no emails are received from Envato, no funds are added to the account and nothing is being charged to any the cards. The best technical support at Envato has been able to do is point us to this post which has been of no help. We don’t even know for sure that we have the same problem everyone else is experiencing, as we are not getting any errors when trying to process the transaction.” The transaction simply fails, even though all indications say, it’s gone through.

Once again… we are using the exact same credit cards to the buy themes elsewhere online (through the same PayPal gateway) in exactly the same manor you are suggesting above and they are working perfectly. We are having this problem ONLY at Envato… this is why I suggested opening a new “Envato account”.

You’ve already lost $1000 of our money and we’ve made sure that the developers that lost out on that business know and understand why… in fact we’ve made every attempt to buy the themes we needed directly from the creators, before moving on.

Envato! Your support sucks!!!!! ...We have asked this question several times and have never recieved a streight answer from you. Maybe you’ll do a better job of supporting us here here in front of other customers and the developers we are trying to do business with.

What’s the solution to this “LAME ASS , ENVATO” problem??? Is it to open up another account with you? Or to just ditch you all together!

This is obviously something to do with our account here… as we are using the exact same credit cards to the buy themes elsewhere online (through PayPal) and they work perfectly.

As far as we’re concerned, this is not our “PayPal” account that’s screwed up. We don’t have one. We refuse to use PayPal, and have done so for years now. This problem is with our Envato account!

If you can’t do the job of processing the transactions yourself… then get someone who can!!! Meanwhile we’ll continue to do business elsewhere and we’ll continue to let the developers that work with you know exactly know why.

From all of the questions and answers, back and forth, we’re still not even sure we have the same problem being discussed here. We’re not receiving any errors when trying to buy… to the contrary, everything online looks as though we have made a purchase, but then nothing else happens.

Can you please confirm that what we are experiencing is part of the same problem? We’ve had no luck in doing this all along and have only been referred here… even though, from what we can tell, we’re not really are experiencing the same problem.

I’m not sure how wide spread this problem really is… or if we even have the same problem that everyone else is experiencing. Tech support at Envato, doesn’t seem to have much to say about it. Except that it’s PayPal’s fault and problem. When actually it’s a big problem the developers, and of course for the buyers, who now can’t find the products they’ve already sold to clients, elsewhere online. Maybe it’s a lesson to the developers… to not have all their eggs in one basket. After all it’s your products we’re after, not Envato’s.

This all started a couple of weeks ago for us, it has cost us a lot of time and effort trying to get answers, and today was the first time we have gotten any kind of answer as to what is going on here. Even though this problem with PayPal is apparently at least 17 days on going.

Whatever the problem is it’s costing you money and customers… our current project requires at least 8 or 10 different themes, we have already bought two themes elsewhere because of this problem and in part, due to your support where this problem is concerned. The rest of the templates will have to be purchased over the next week. What are the chances of getting them through you… in seems at the moment not very good.

At any rate, we are running out of time for this. Should we just start looking elsewhere and blow you off? What are the chance of some of the themes we have already taken the time to choose from your site, being available elsewhere?
