Many thanks for the reply!
I have a question about when a soft rejected theme is published. I submitted a theme about three weeks ago that was soft rejected because I didn’t include HTML documentation (just documentation on my website). I can see the file in my dashboard and it has a publication date of November 16th. I’ve been busy working on another high-priority item and haven’t had a chance to finish the documentation file until now.
My question is, if I resubmit the theme now and it’s approved, will it have a publication date of the day it’s fully approved or the original date it was added (November 16th)? I ask because if it’s the latter, there would be several other themes appearing before mine in the category since other themes have been released since my original submission. Does anyone know how this works? Obviously I would prefer if my theme was at the top of the list when it gets approved. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve fixed those issues. I see a lot of people mentioning typography in these types of threads but it’s not 100% clear to me what the issue is. Is it the font size? Most of the fonts in the theme are using the default bootstrap sizing. Is it the font face? The demo uses Open Sans, which is a very common and popular google font. What am I missing?
I’ve recently started building custom Shopify themes and have found that I really enjoy the work. I built one for a client and another that I submitted to ThemeForest recently, but it was rejected for aesthetic reasons (I assume, since they didn’t provide any feedback whatsoever).
I would really like to pursue this niche but I think my design skills just aren’t up to scratch. I’m looking for a designer who would like to team up with me. Basically, you would build e-commerce PSDs, send them to me, then I would code them into a Shopify theme that we could sell and share profits.
If you would be interested in a partnership, I’d love to hear from you. I can be reached at info at vectorthemes dot com. Please send some samples of your work.
I just submitted my first Shopify theme to ThemeForest and it was rejected. The email says it cannot be resubmitted, which is confusing to me. Does this mean that even if I work on it and make it better, I can’t submit it again at all?
No specific advice from the reviewer was provided. It’s frustrating considering I’ve spent dozens (maybe hundreds) of hours working on this, but I do know that I still have things to learn. If you could provide any constructive criticism about the theme, I would greatly appreciate it.
