Just my perspective… all the milestones set by Envato are for the benefit of Envato itself. They make announcements and posts for the marketplace’s promotion – indirectly. They know that 25 Million milestone is not something possible for next 5 years (or even impossible) but they will have such thing on showcase for a delusional encouragement – raise the image of marketplace. This is why a common milestone is useless. If your own goal is even small and you managed to achieve, that’s the great thing. Share it with family, friends and community. They may understand better than a marketplace bureaucracy.

Amen to this.

Sorry then, my bad. I remember one forum discussion from a year ago, but I guess that they have changed automation process.

P.S. Little bit off-topic, sorry.

I think that is really bad to not have any kind of official statement or information of how to compress/encode video previews. Or if there is some link to it, please enlighten me. Thank`s.

Also if I remember well not all previews are compressed in the same way…

I guess that you are wrong. No matter what`s your video bitrade, VideoHive automatically accommodate that to their video standard.

And from time to time it happens to me also. Video previews tends to be really slow. Shame, marketplace that has tons of autors and buyers and havily relies on video previews shouldn`t allow this kind of issues.

Imagine if VideoHive sometimes in 2019. starts to stream/play HD videos, that will be slow as hell.

Hi there, I had a some quick chat on this topic few minuts ago and suddenly I felt obsessive need to bump this thread up.

Why, because this limit is so wrong that sometimes it really frustates me a lot. It`s not just a limit, but it`s a fact also that improvements and genereal flow of upgrades streamed to Video Hive is equal to NONE.

Am I wrong? Try to count (yes, it can be counted) of what did they improove.

And if argument for a 1 GB are bandwith and storage costs, c`mon guys we can do some basic math. This argument is disputed with ease.

Seriously, we live in 2014., invented 4K, Oculous Rift, phones that have 60 GB of memory, flash drives that you can store all VideoHives bestseller templates, etc., and still we are limited to a 1GB of storage space.

I am really in some “angry” mood tonight overall so, I am sorry if I inslulted someone, that wasn`t my intention.

Peace.

P.S. Sorry I had to edit post since I forgot to link mentioned thread.

After a who-knows-how-much years of existance Envato doesn`t have basic HTML tags/editor on forums, so HTML/WORDPRESS/PHP/JQUERY/ NOOBS like myself have to go to google to find out how to do that or even use some of the scripts that some creative and amazing autors created.

Hire those guys Envato, listen to your comunity and make our lives easier. :(

P.P.S.

Hi again,

Just want to give some arguments to the Placdarms (whom I respect and admire as motion graphics artist and VideoHives reviwer) statement.

I, myself, was lazzy sometimes, that is something that I must admit, and in this case reject is the right solution. But you reviewers are here to corrcect/guide us trough VideoHive standards, right.

Also it is quite easy to make some “if” (I must express myself like this so that coding people can understand me) statement.

if “size” > 1000MB
review ass
etselse = false

Simple, right?

I`ve just wasted 3 minutes of my life trying to do a break line in a “code” above. Awesome.

Well, I couldn`t agree more, but there is also another side of the coin.

If some author choose to delete that self-hosted guides (help files) that could lead to unsatisfied customer, and if customer is accidentally first time on some of the Envato Sites that could also lead to conclusion that all authors are like that.

I figured out some “workaround” for this problem, consider that as a “cheat”. In future uploads I will include some generic PDF/Html guide wich includes all the basic informations for the project and some basic guides, but also I will include a link to the self-hosted “in-depth” and advanced Video Guides.

Reason for that is that I would rather spend that extra few hundred MB`s on a few additional compositing passes wich can increase users/customers editing possibilities then on some “how to do stuff” guides.

This issue is caused by the problem wich you can read/write about on this forum topic.

Seriously, we live in 2014., invented 4K, Oculous Rift, phones that have 60 GB of memory, flash drives that you can store all VideoHives bestseller templates, etc., and still we are limited to a 1GB of storage space.

Yeah, awsome I know. Sorry for my rumbling and I am glad that I could help you. Peace.
