I’ve started filling out the FAQ sections on my themes as it seems like a quick and easy way for buyers to get answers without having to open the docs or leave a comment. I’m just not convinced that it will actually help out.

Sellers: Do you use the FAQ section and does it help decrease support questions?
Buyers: Do you use the FAQ section and find it helpful?

Ha, ha, so perfect! :-)

LOOOOL. Exactly.

I do like the idea of having the ability to toggle the section open/close that someone mentioned earlier.

You don’t need a youtube shortcode. JetPack has this covered already ;)

Hey there, I am the creator of the plugin ;)

You can use the plugin definitely for your ThemeForest Items but I wouldn’t suggest stripping it and putting it into the theme, like “itsmattadams” says…”It’s a plugin for a reason”.

- I keep this plugin updated constantly with new shortcodes (adding a few more soon)
- The plugin seems to be have a bug in 3.6 which I will be fixing
- If people want to switch themes they can take the shortcodes with them because its a plugin

What I suggest is you use the TGM Activation script to suggest people to use my plugin:

https://github.com/thomasgriffin/TGM-Plugin-Activation

You can just add a zip of the plugin within your theme.

Then if you want to provide styling that matches your theme for the plugin then simply remove the plugin’s CSS and then re-style in your style.css file or in a separate css file:

wp_dequeue_style('symple_shortcode_styles');

Good luck!

Yes for most themes it should be easy to simply remove the responsiveness. In my responsive themes I usually add a checkbox to do so ;)

Sorry if this sort of ticket has been opened before but I didn’t see one.

Anyway, the functionality to leave a message to the reviewer is already built-in to the update system. If authors used this field to paste their changelog, which I think most people do, I think it would be great to include it in the email update notification to the buyer.

This way buyers can see right away what files have been changed and what has been updated. More importantly if there is a huge/crucial/security update it can be mentioned to ensure users update asap.

Just a thought ;)

Of course a new field for “changelog” could work nicely as well, especially if it shows up automatically on the theme page.

You shouldn’t have it built-in you can recommend users to install the plugin or use TGM Activation script to auto install it.

Or just load font awesome yourself and if users need a shortcode they can then get the plugin
