Themeforest pretty much pays my bills ;)

I just wish affiliates would make some commission from repeat purchases (5%-10% at least)... Like Elegant Themes. Where you make a commission from the first purchase (50%) and then again if they upgrade their service (50%).

This way you benefit from sending good members. For example, I have sent over web developer friends that I personally know will be buying at least a few items a month.

Codex shows you how. Look at add_menu_page, add_action and get_option & update_option.

You don’t use the “Global Options” method?

I have another good one…how about an “Exclusive Affiliate” that only markets Envato, but makes higher commissions ;) Similar to the exclusive author.

Can we get some more and cooler badges for affiliates? There is only 1 – “referred at least 1 person”...this is pretty lame.

I got some ideas:

1. Generated over 100 affiliate sales 2. Generated 1 affiliate sale for each market place 2. Over 1,000 clickthroughs a month for at least 3 consecutive months

There are also contests every now and then for authors. Could we have an affiliate contest?

It’s cool. I see why people will want to upload their designs, but why would anyone want to browse your site and leave comments? – Inspiration?

Yea…I figured that the 2 market places weren’t connected. It would be nice they were though, but like most sites, I feel that Envato’s policy is: “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”.
