This way Envato just pushes authors to create more themes.
Guys, grow up already! This strategy was good for a small marketplace. You are big enough, and it’s time to start growing in terms of product quality, not quantity. At this moment buyers are getting horrid experience with items that are not on Top Sellers list simply because you refuse to charge for updates: authors have zero interest in updating items the moments they stop selling. In todays world, this business model is not sustainable both for authors and buyers.
Exactly! I will be more happy to have 3 or 4 high quality Templates instead of 40 low quality items! So at the moment I will NOT make a huge update cause it makes no sense this way to invest weeks of work and get nothing for it …
Envato, please wake up …!!!!
A reviewer has answered! It is NOT ALLOWED and the File will not be approved!
Thanks to all for the answers! I will send a Ticket directly to Envato to make this clear! I hope it is allowed, cause I’m also not willing to invest weeks of work in a update for free … we will see!
I have a Template which is a little bit older! I think about to redesign it a little bit and code all new! Making new Extensions, better Design, better Experience with more Pages and a lot of other stuff!
Is it allowed to submit this Template as a new one (it has a new Name and also the design is changing). Can anybode answer this Question?
Cause it really makes no sense for me to update this old Theme, it’s on the last Pages so nobody see that all is new!
thanks! It’s a little bit strange cause we got two Accounts here and have a few thousands sales with our Templates! Color switcher is on the right side dude

Yeah maybe I provided to less features or the design was not suitable – what you say? Demo: http://demo.felixdorner.com/wunderbar
Well you’re home drawback as its my person review the NAVIGATION isn’t attractive. But from Homepage design, i feel it has to be soft rejection category.
What did you think about that dude?? http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/joomla-template-rejected-and-not-approved-can-i-get-some-tipps/144345
I think the problem on this one are the Features … really less demo sites, elements, features and more! Maybe have a look to the sitemap of other Templates!
Unfortunatelly my Template for Joomla was rejected! I think it’s a very nice design, clean and unique. It was a hard bounce … I have invested a lot of time and good sales with my other Templates! I want this Template to get approved! Maybe someone has a good Tip??
By the way, here is the Message of the reviewer:
Overall, this is a good concept but there are a couple issues here:
We already have a number of submissions with the same overall design and concept and we have to draw the line somewhere.
I think we’re reached a point of saturation. At this point, we’re only looking for unique variations of this design: for another one to be approved it would have to have a couple of unique touches and features that differentiate it from what’s already available and definitely be of higher quality.
Minimal templates can be clean and simple when you manage to handle the white space and details to provide a simple but yet unique template. But if you can’t, it will look like an incomplete template – blank template.
In this case, the submitted template is more like a ‘framework’ than a full fledged design. If you’re going with minimalism, you need to make sure all the little details check out.
