This is actually my office at my old apartment – the new one is a bit bigger; but the monitors, desk, pictures, etc. are all mostly the same. Gotta take pics of the new one when I get my fisheye lens back :)

So you can both design AND remain contact with ISS ;-)? Looks cool man!

Maybe it’s time for a little modification of how this topic works. Everyone can say from who they want to see how they work. In that way, if many people are curious about what their work place looks like they may get convinced to show us!

I’m curious about the work place of some of the monthly top sellers:
  • P&K!
  • Oxylus
  • barisintepe
  • bitfade

If this site just showcased Flash site templates… it would be as power as ThemeForest, but with all the other types of files the exposure is spread out more… Maybe this site should have a separate section for Flash Templates – would make sense since they’re the biggest money makers and more time goes into them so they deserve more exposure.

+1 :)

Something is defiantly happen, first i think it’s only a matter of time before TF will smoke us here on AD, just remember that flash is not that big worldwide ,Html , SEO , static are more easy to handle and work then flash .

That already was a point of discussion when I started with Flash 3 in 1998. Choosing Flash is based on weighing advantages against disadvantages. I don’t think we will lose any customers due to people realizing that Flash may be more difficult to handle after a decade.

I think you guys maybe are comparing apples with pears. ThemeForest indeed is growing in popularity, there is no doubt about that! But WordPress is also hot on the internet nowadays, so it´s a good time for TF.

On ActiveDen something else is happening I think. When I started contributing actively 1 year ago the top sellers in the popular files also had aprox. 50 – 60 sales. I know for sure since I always watched the sales of my files closely. However, making your files stand out from the rest IS different in comparison to a year ago, and I guess it has one logic reason about which we can’t do anything and one reason I think is less pleasant and a reason to start talking about:

Reason 1 – the amount of quality files has grown enormously over the past year. The choice has increased for buyers and I guess that’s why some old school ActiveDen’ners see decreasing sales.

Reason 2 – an important difference in comparison with TF is that on TF the potential buyer sees directly where he/she came for: templates. On ActiveDen there is just to much noise: preloaders, “my first Flash files”, simple animations, all of which get as much exposure as for example a quality template. I think it’s harder for a potential buyer to focus the search on ActiveDen than it is on TF. This is something to think about I guess…
