@IngeniousArtist Hi I completely agree Envato has great pricing, in my original post I included a link to a theme that was $13 and was using a slider from CodeCanyon that was $14 (royal slider). That post I made was in response to ‘cyzer’, who said he may possibly buy a licence each time he makes a sale. That wouldn’t work because the assets cost more than the sale price even if he got 100% of the sale price.
@RubenBristian Thats exactly what I’m saying, so the best bet is to ask the author if it can be included if I used the extended licence. Then buy another extended licence every time I create a new product? Also thanks for including that example ^^
P.s Not sure where my original post has gone
In that example the theme sells for $13 and the slider regular licence is $14 I doubt that you would buy a copy for everyone sold because you would be making a loss.
So I’m a little confused are you allowed to buy an item E.g. a slider from CodeCanyon and use it on your own theme to be sold here on ThemeForest. The licence is always described as a single client/product. But I often see themes such as this one -http://themeforest.net/item/hydrogen-responsive-html5-template/7054181
That uses a CodeCanyon slider, they obviously don’t buy an extended licence for every sale they make so whats the deal?
No offence to this author it just happend to be the first one I saw.
I have a long list of items I’m going to report to Envato I’m not sure if I’m being to harsh but it seems like the authors are just taking this… now.
Theres freebies being given out on a number of website, 365psd, dribble, etc.. then being copied with a slight change and a few extra elements being sold on both graphicriver and codecanyon.
I just wanted to get some quick feedback from authors on what exactly is allowed and what isn’t. The stuff I noted down looks exactly the same as freebies but we a slight drop on one colour or an extra element. The elements are even presented the same way with the same background as the freebie.
Oh, thanks! Sorry for the silly question this is a much better way =]
So I’ve been buying 100s of Envato items for awhile now but only recently started to sell some stuff of my own. I don’t often get sales, but when I do I would like to see which item sold. Is there anyway for me to see, which item sold without writing down the sales and checking them against that?
I’m looking for someone to create me a modern flat one-page portfolio I have a rough idea what I would like but personally can’t get the feel quite up to a standard I’m happy with. Any designer out there we a bit of spare time fancy taking this job please post below.
I was wondering if someone had a free php script that would allow me to upload an image to my domain, which I would then add to a CodeCanyon product so I could see how many views it was getting, I had ago myself but im no good with php.
