nah, doesn’t work =)...wouldn’t ask here if it did…the imagemap is somehow a special construct, you can try it yourself, and if it would work I would be very surprised, but also pleased=P…
The (not yet) living thing could be visited here: http://devcfm.031.be/ – it’s the big red “PLAY” Button top right, because it’s a round button, I wanted to limit the space the link-pointer is showed, so that it appears only when the user is really over the button and not as he/she enters the rectangle of the image…because of this I decided to use this nearly forgotten thing called imagemap, the problem there is, you don’t have any a href tags to work with…the link is an attribute of the inner map element area as shown in the code below.
I can say it in words but obviously I can’t it write down to code =/...: When the area is hovered, traverse the DOM up to the parent element with the id of #webradio-img, get it’s attribute src, split away the -off. string and add the -on. string, on mouseout, reverse the same thing...sounds not that difficult or does it?
Appreciate every help!
thank you very much in advance
Used also the DD_belated fix but I had also problems btw. it doesn’t allow to repeat body-background-images and I wanted that one time =D…but as far as this goes it’s the best around!
“Trebuchet MS”, HelveticaNeue-Light, “Helvetica Neue Light”, “Helvetica Neue”, Helvetica, Arial, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif
I often start with this in CSS and then take out or change something around =)...
Really like it too, clean with good structure, the dropdown menu is very smooth, also the scroller-tab thing on the bottom =)! Nice work
I found recently the two following scroller related scripts:
for an actual project I would like to combine those two effects, I already asked the author of the hoverscroll-effect how to do it, but his js knowledge is too low (his words…not mine =D) and mine seems too…maybe somebody in the forums has the skills to do so or we get it together…
The idea is simply (or not…) to start the spy-effect when the page is loaded and keep it running until the user hovers over the list or div or whatever and then stop the spy-effect and switch to the hoverscroll-behaviour until the user is out with his mouse and then start the spy-scrolling-effect again…
If there’s somebody around who is available for freelance work and wants to do this, I would also pay something to get this done but I would also make the code public, I think there’s nothing like this around with js and so it belongs to the community =)...
thx for any help or suggestions!
Can’t see what this would be good for. But I like it!
Something like a ticker for artist and title for example =), but I don’t know how this could be done? The data is generated dynamically and saved in an xml file with some nodes, so I would need to pass those nodes instead of the fixed words passed to the code like this http://pastie.org/561960
Here the full airport code, maybe somebody has an idea how to do this, I would also pay something for freelance work if this would be more complicated…
thx for any answer!
