let’s have some fun, kill some zombies together
well done buddy, thats very kind. Not a participant btw
When I’m done with my mix, I usually export it and have a look before final mastering stuff. Usually I even tweak things based on a weird or ‘unhealthy’ look the piece might have. Blocky waveforms usually annoy me, I prefer it to look nice and skeletal, loads of fine jagged bits and quite thick, maybe even a ‘furry’ look.
Some of my thoughts are :
Do you do this?
Does it make for a good guage of things?
Are waveforms conventions not a good idea to reference?
Does genre have a big part to play?
Lookng forward to some answers as I think I pay too much attention to this, especially more recently.
StoneColed saidYeah, for something like that, they should give you a cash bonus, or maybe have a trump staff vote for the Most Wanted contest, meaning that any staff vote trumps all of our votes, making you the winner!!!
Erick_McNerney saidEvery day I close my eyes and spread my hand out and hit the keyboard on a search engine. What ever comes up first I look at. One day I found a Russian website, who’s only English had Themeforest, Codecanyon, Audiojungle etc. So I emailed Envato with it’s link and asked if they were ripping their stuff off. About a month later I got an email saying new Ninja badge for pointing it out. So I’m an accidental Ninja, random right? Too bad it didn’t come with a raise! I also have found some of the most lame websites ever the same way. Also it appears that any combination of 4 letters means something abbreviated for the internet or the name of an organization or company. So even old people get bored and do stupid stuff online.
Wow, Tommy, nice new badge I see you have!
It is a nice badge indeed. Erick I think the the name ‘silver lining’ is good. Generic ‘inspiring piano’ style names need to slowly go away. Especially as the quality of the music here increases the names should reflect the art as much as possible. Slapping a generic name on your piece if it is just that is probably fine though…Maybe it depends on the audience too.
Hey Erick, reading the title made me laugh!
When you changed it I was a bit taken back, It’s like you upped your seriousness….perhaps to reflect an increased commitment to audiojungle?
I don’t think your buyers/audience will be affected though, beethoven always looks angry and well…people bought his music
Seems frequent changes are whats considered a ‘no, no’ here.
Zatara admits closely monitoring Jess’ profile just to see if she made more sales based on her choice of branding and new following
I was actually kind of glad sales wern’t affected, but it just shows that having a super attractive profile picture is not the secret to success here and it is in fact the music/marketing/helpfulness etc….really, i should think. Having said that..Andrew though, he looks like Jeff Buckley and his sales are screaming…maybe you need a music related sexy face?
