@doru,

Basically, I can say that there is no change on the rules here. It is only on our interpretation, and different author has different interpretation here.

And, this is only because some of us think that doing anything to get more sales is allowed here. And when Envato said, “don’t do that”, then some of us said, “oh, Envato changes the rules”... I can say that it is not “his” first time… ;)

I think, it is better if Envato can make a dedicated page to show the rule, “easy to read” DOs and DON’Ts for authors. So, it can be good author guidelines before doing anything that possibly cross the line.

I might not get it. How about themes that use Revolution Slider ? They all contain a zip file with this plugin so the buyer can install it and get the functionality from the demo, isn’t it ?(without the need to separately purchase the plugin) Is this against the rules even if the author bought the slider with extended license and got written permission from the plugin author that is ok to do this ?

That is perfectly okay because it is default rule in ThemeForest, Extended License + Author Permission.

The issue on this thread is different, the Premium GPL Plugins are from outside Envato Marketplace (from two different companies) and there are no written permission from plugins authors. You can read the detail here, http://coenjacobs.me/en/dont-buy-bundled-premium-plugins/

FancyBox 1.x is licensed under MIT / GPL, you can use it for free in your TF item…

FancyBox 2.x uses different license… :(

This is also the reason why WooCommerce change the lightbox script from FancyBox 1.x to PrettyPhoto…

Problem is how would you dynamicly add markup for the thumbnails in WordPress? :)

I still do not understand what is your issue actually.

<!-- Place somewhere in the <body> of your page -->
<div class="flexslider">
  <ul class="slides">
    <li data-thumb="slide1-thumb.jpg">
      <img src="slide1.jpg" />
    </li>
    <li data-thumb="slide2-thumb.jpg">
      <img src="slide2.jpg" />
    </li>
    <li data-thumb="slide3-thumb.jpg">
      <img src="slide3.jpg" />
    </li>
    <li data-thumb="slide4-thumb.jpg">
      <img src="slide4.jpg" />
    </li>
  </ul>
</div>

You only need to call your function to replace the image URLs above, for both slide$-thumb.jpg and slide$.jpg

Have you followed the HTML format on that demo page?

It is not easy to know your issue if you do not post your demo URL here…

Don’t forget to post your demo URL if you need general feedback from TF community on this support forum… ;)

The problem is, Foundation 4 doesn’t support IE8, and IE8 compatibility is still mandatory requirement on ThemeForest this day… There are some solutions for this, don’t forget to test your Foundation 4 theme on IE8 before you release it here… ;)

This morning I saw a tweet from a WordPress developer who talk about some ThemeForest themes that bundle some Premium GPL plugins. He posted a blog post with title “Do not buy WordPress themes that bundle premium plugins”. For ThemeForest reviewer, do you allow a ThemeForest author to bundle Premium GPL plugins on ThemeForest items now???

I love WordPress and I also do love ThemeForest, and I don’t like when WordPress community discuss a bad thing about ThemeForest again and again…

When we have to purchase extended licenses to get “in stock” licenses from CodeCanyon items to allow us to include it on our TF items, now it is strange when you can include Premium GPL plugins without “in stock” license…
