Thats probably whats causing your problem.

Hello, quick: I making a contact form for one web page but I don’t why it isn’t working. Here is the code… somethings are in Spanish, ignored them:
<?php /* Subject y Email Vars */

    $emailSubject = 'Empresa Pisi';
    $webMaster = 'minimigra@hotmail.com';

/* Juntando Informacion del Formulario */

    $nameField = $_POST['name'];
    $emailField = $_POST['email'];
    $phoneField = $_POST['phone'];
    $commentField = $_POST['comment'];

    $body = <<<EOD
<b?>

Nombre: $name
Email: $email
Telefono: $phone
Mensaje: $comment
EOD ; $headers = “From: $email\r\n”; $headers .= “Content-type: text/html\r\n”; $success = mail($webMaster,$emailSubject,$body,$headers); /* Php a html */ $theResults = <<<EOD Mensaje… EOD ;

echo ”$theResults”;

?>

They might be getting hit hard. I just read on Mashable that they’ve opened it up, so I’m guessing tons of people/companies are trying to reserve their name.

I was wondering, would it be possible to extend codecanyon with a Ruby on Rails section or just plain Ruby? It seems like a big thing these days and its definitely where I’ve moved my skills towards and it would be cool if this site offered the same services for the language and framework.

hi alvin iframe is abit cumblesome. any more details or sample codes on ur method 2? I have been looking for a solution for sometime. I gave up when yoz.sk said there’s no solution. So i m interested to know ur method 2.

It’s been some time that I’ve had to interact with the Facebook GRAPH API , but basically you would want to know when the ‘edge.create’ event is dispatched on the page:

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/javascript/FB.Event.subscribe

So in Flash, what you would want to do is call a function in Javascript that dispatches this event. Ill look into it a bit more and maybe come up with some source code to give out. When I do, Ill make sure to post on this thread.

If you want to use straight up AS3 you’ll need to implement the new OAuth Authentication method with the Graph API . Although the REST API still exists, OAuth is simpler and easier to use. Here is an open source solution: http://blog.yoz.sk/2010/05/facebook-graph-api-and-oauth-2-and-flash/

Get to know that library and then modify it the way you want. Once you’ve got that down, you’ll need to understand how to make the calls to the Graph API .

Here are some resources for you:

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like
http://labs.byhook.com/2010/08/03/facebook-like-button-in-flash/

The basic thing at the moment is that since the change to the Graph API , there isnt a direct solution. What I would do is either (1) create a popup from flash that renders the <iframe /> thats given to you or (2) call some Javascript on your page using the ExternalInterface class to register a like using the Javascript Facebook Library.

If anyone has any other suggestions, that would be cool, but this is what I’ve found to be satisfactory.

Hey Everyone,

Just want to get some insight as to how to create a development environment for a live site, preferably for a wordpress site.

Example.

mysite.com – Development – Live

So I would do all my development on the development section of the server, and just push files to the live site of the server. This way I could show clients how the site is going by sending them links to mysite.com/development/some-page and once they approve, their users would just see mysite.com/some-page.

Hopefully this makes sense? Let me know if it doesnt, I would be more than happy to extend my explanation.

Thats neat! Exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a service that allows developers to edit code on the fly? Something that is similar to Google Docs but for developers?

User Story: During a phone call, a developer and I look at some code, as the developer changes it, I can see whats going on as he/she explains their logic.

Hope that helps.
