I am having issues with a menu in IE6 that I can’t seem to fix.

http://amberturner.com/random/index.html

It looks great in Chrome and Firefox. But in IE6 in particular, the dark blue doesn’t stretch the entire width when you hover over a submenu item.

I added to the the IE6 styles:

#nav li ul { width: 0; white-space:nowrap;

so that IE6 would not let the li ul stretch all the way to the right side of the page. When it did stretch all the way to the right side of the page though, the dark blue when you hovered over a submenu item would stretch all the way across.

I took it out separate like this to see if maybe it was a parent element that was interfering, but it doesn’t look like anything other than the css you see is causing it.

I know the padding-right: 21px is causing it, but I don’t understand why in Chrome and Firefox it look good, but in IE6 it isn’t.

Can someone help me figure out why this is so?

So its been a minute since I have developed a Wordpress theme, so I downloaded Starkers to get working on a new site, and I go to start working in the header.php file to find this:

<?php /** * @package WordPress * @subpackage Starkers */ ?>

Does anyone have any idea what this is? Is it vital to Wordpress? Is there something I am missing?

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes I plan quite a bit before I start a design. Mainly I sketch it out on paper then break that down into HTML once I design it. So then when I go into actual design on the computer, I will have a really good idea of how the HTML will break down and that helps tremendously.

But sketching things out on paper has always been a key point for me, and brings out the artist in me.. :D

Hey guys and gals,

I just wanted to quickly post the launch of a new project: Students That Freelance!

Remember me posting this: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/calling-student-freelancers/20946 ?

The site will mainly feature a blog and forum setup to help students with the unique situations that they deal with as being freelancers, that other blogs don’t really touch on. Right now it is just a coming soon page, but I hope to launch it Mid March!

I am super excited! I would love to hear any critiques that this wonderful community has!

(ps—moderators, if this is inappropriate for the forums, please feel free to remove)

Hey guys!

I plan to launch the site in a month and I am still looking to fill some student interview spots. Anyone interested?

If you haven’t solved the issue, the problem may be the @import reset on your style sheet. I was having issues on one site in select IE8 browsers and changed this part and it seemed to have solved it for all.

I don’t think Apple is going to come out with a “tablet,” I think they are going to surprise us all with something more than we ever thought. I am more interested iPhone 4G & 4.0 OS announcements.

And the hope that they are also allowing Verizon to get the iPhone…..

danielku,

are you sayiing that under one nickname you are an exclusive author and under another one you are not? I thought that bein an exclusive author would depend on your real name and not some alias, kinda defeats the exclusivity doesn’t it? haw can one be partially exclusive?

Al

It is possible for someone to have two accounts, one being exclusive and one not. Maybe for instance Joe Blow wants only some of his items to be sold exclusively through the marketplaces, like business cards for example, however he may want his website designs be non-exclusive. He could set up JoeBlow1 and JowBlow2 to handle that.

I haven’t seen anywhere in the agreements or remember when I read them when I signed up, that one person could not hold two different accounts, however I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am.

Heck yes I am excited! Although I wanted the Vikings to make it instead of the Saints so that the Colts would have a better chance at winning, but hopefully the Colts can pull it out in the end.
