My team is not seeing comments people post. Any thoughts if this is actually live or what might be happening with this? Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds really bad. Don’t you have the customer’s contact details? The one you did the job for? Why don’t you try to get in touch with him and ask him to pay you or sort it out directly?

ES told service providers not to contact buyers using other methods, but the buyer gave me his skype contact and we only talked about the job, never talked about the payment related stuff. The job was finished like 7 days ago, and I haven’t seen him online since then :( so no way to contact him.

First – I’ve already contacted envato studio’s support guy, but the answer I got is really not helping me.

I opened a service in envato studio (es), someone ordered my service. Got a message from es that they received the payment from the client and I’m good to start the job.

My job description clearly says it’ll be done in 7 days, but it took me 14 days to complete the job, it’s about an app, more than 25 pages. After I finished the job, client approved it, he also gave feedback, es told me, they money will be there in my account after 7 days. After 7 days I got a message from es that the client was fraud and the payment method he used was not legal. so I can not have any money for the work I did.

Are you serious?? it took you guys 20 days to detect the client was fraud, and it took me 14 days to complete the job. you guys take 30% from my earnings just for using your service. I choose es because of the guaranteed payment method, but this is making me rally sad. I lost $600 :(

Here’s the support email --- [Email removed]

Check your statement tab for recent sales. This might be a bug.

I don’t know if someone have already said what I’m saying below, there is 13 pages before my post :D

When I see an author with elite status and the money he made in themeforest, I just go to his profile to see the works he have done, it helped me understand the marketplace, what buyers like, which theme is popular etc. I think it helped envato grow and helped authors like us make money. Also I think it the reason why there is so many similar looking items.

I really agree with the OP, making the earning badge visibility optional would be good. I left my job last year and started working for themeforest ( also doing freelancing ), and a lot of relatives wonder how I’m living my life :D some of them ask my close friends about it but never ask me directly, so that creeps me out. You might think I’m a bad person and don’t have good relation with my relatives, but that’s not true, I belonged from a middle class family, but when rich relatives see you make money, you are already their person of interest.

Thank you for reading :)

I have a question regarding service tax. Sorry, if it sounds stupid to anyone.
Ques: Are we (Indian authors) have to pay service tax?

I have consulted my accountant and he told that I don’t have to pay such tax. The reason he gave is – I’m not providing any service to my clients instead selling the templates which anyone can purchase according to their requirements.

I just want to get 100% sure regarding such tax so please reply your answers.

yes, I’ve the same question in my mind. someone expert in this please reply.
