People rip preview of html themes and they have bots that automatically harvest new TF items. That is why you will find rips in hours of release, even for files without purchase.

That is why I recommend you twist the preview code to a degree to make it useless to try to use it to make a website from it and add a link to where they can buy it as a comment in every page. You can put up a sample of the html code and css code in the screenshots section.

A simple modification can be made to how the rating is shown – below the star rating displayed now, they should add how many 5 stars rating you have, how many 4 star and so on..

It’s very simple and has a better success rate then the idea mentioned above in my opinion, because most people can’t be persuaded to even rate the item so I think that getting testimonials is even a smaller chance.

It’s very simple, I think it has been suggested before, but i do not understand why it isn’t implemented as it is as simple as getting the grades out of the DB and showing them.

Also it is ridiculous the amount of demands you get in threat of a bad rating. Envato should make a system that protects both clients and authors and I think that showing individual ratings is a great start.

This way if you have 4 stars from 4 5star ratings and 1 1star rating, prospecting clients can make a better idea about the items appreciation by users.

OP sorry for the hijack but I had no other choice considering that my problem is related to this subject and that no one was answering to my thread. Please carry on, I’m interested in the subject as well

Can I please get an official answer on why my prices have been lowered? Not general but pinpointing the factors why my particular items got the price reduced.

It is very discouraging to work hard and create something and then have you prices downgraded, especially without even a notice. I though that envato is a company that stands out from the rest because it listens to its community of authors and most importantly knows the importance of proper communicates.

I have now seen the price increase thread. I find it funny that after talks of price increases all my prices are lower

What to do if all prices have dropped 5$ after the review – now most my themes are priced at 30$
