I’m not sure as to how the current setup is, but i’m presuming it’s one or two servers hosting the marketplaces.
I’ve been learning recently about cloud-networks, and how these sorts of networks operate and are effective in providing steamlined content to a vast array of users.
I was wondering if Envato ever thought of doing such thing as setting up a cloud network of servers, it might better serve visitors and provide faster load times..
Just an idea….
Sounds like a good idea.
I’d be down for lending a hand in terms of any development.
Instead of complaining here, why don’t you contact support asking if they can arrange to have $35 deposited into your account.
Wouldn’t that be much easier? The guys at Envato are more than willing to help, and I’m sure they could help you out.
There are all the links you need!
Happy Birthday Guys.
Everyone can grant and offer their birthday fun to Envato in this one thread!
Congratulations on all the wonderful work you’ve done to build up the marketplaces, the tuts+, freelanceswitch and rockable press brands.
You should take a break, and give yourselves a big pat on the back.
All the best in the future, and keep powering on!
Since you’ve turned one, does this mean where gonna hear you go through teething and the baby blues?
I usually go 1000px by 1000px.
With my grid set to 20px, I setup guides to layout a width of 960px and do all my designing in there. There is a 960px PSD template lying somewhere around on the web, I use something similar, but it’s custom made.
About 1 1/2 years ago, I used to design to 800px, but with the majority of web users having screens larger than 800px, and mostly around 1024×768px, I’ve moved up to 960px. It seems to work well, and i get no complaints from clients or users of the websites.
I’d be interested in giving a helping hand, Will send you an email
I’d personally love to upgrade to the AJAX contact form, but really wouldn’t want to pay again for it. (I already have purchased the Simple PHP Contact Form).
If you were able to offer an upgrade for something like $1 I’d be surely down for it
Unless, you could change the simple contact form to include both, but raise the price a few dollars. That way, buyers that bought it before benefit and people that buy it after also benefit from getting two.
Thanks Everyone! It’s much appreciated
I am under the impression that you are not allowed to base a file on a tutorial, and it does clearly say that in the copyright/author policy.
5. The file must NOT be based on a tutorial.
For example: You cannot submit a file that you created by following a tutorial, in whole or in part.
I highly doubt you will be able to get this file approved because it defies the above statement along with being too similar to another file.
Apologies if this sounds harsh, though Id rather be personally told upfront than be beaten around the bush.
