Will they apply retroactively? For example, if I had a trending item several months ago, will I still get the badge when they’re going live?

Is it worth adding buttons and input field classes for Bootstrap compatibility? Is it worth adding column classes?

Will it drive more downloads?

I have updated the link:

http://getbutterfly.com/how-to-implement-update-notifications-for-codecanyon-plugins/

Basically, the script checks (and caches the result) for an XML file. This would be an extra step , maintaining an XML file with the current version and a small changelog, but it’s the best solution I have found so far.

I agree and that’s why I adapted a small PHP script to do this. It’s very easy to integrate in any plugin or theme.

I don’t think it’s possible. You can only sell themes on ThemeForest.

I had a WordPress page which was restricted (private) for a year, and then, based on server access logs, I noticed it was accessed by a Yahoo bot:

68.180.228.94 – - [22/Oct/2014:03:56:09 +0100] “GET /s34/ HTTP/1.1” 200 19513 ”-” “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Yahoo! Slurp; http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearch/slurp)"

I heard reports of the Yahoo bot being very aggresive and causing heavy server load. Probably, combined with an automatic WordPress update and heavy database access, something got corrupted and the page was rendered public. I wasn’t able to find other cases of private pages becoming public, but it’s not excluded.

Is this possible at all?

I’m listening. Sounds cool.

A third-party membership plugin could be used with eCards, I’m only interested in adding these features directly to eCards. I might create a limited user role, such as “eCards subscriber” and store them as separate users.

A user option is okay, I guess, with a custom text such as “Subscribe me to future updates”. However, admins could abuse this option and change the text, so that they can save all user emails against users’ wishes.
