Hey guys, I was trying to explain to my wife the difficulties of this industry, but she thinks it’s just me! So I thought it would be keen to come on here and see who else feels like me, but she says I’m not allowed to bias the pool by airing my grievances first.
So how about it? What do you think are the worst, most painful, most difficult things about working in this industry?
I’m About to start using magento and know absolutely nothing about it. I am looking for some honest opinions and the down and dirty on it as far as quality and ease of use, installation, etc. Any info is appreciated!
I have checked everything I can and cannot figure out what the issue is. I click the “Insert Gallery” button and nothing at all happens. Anyone know a fix?
Thanks free! Because of your advice, I just double checked and I found out what the issue is. When I upload the images, and then I am on the “gallery” tab of the uploader, it is not saving the gallery settings. This makes it so that it is stuck on the “Link thumbnails to: Attachment Page” Setting instead of the “Link thumbnails to: Image File”
After I change the settings I press “Insert gallery: but nothing happens. So I tried “Save all changes” but all that did was reload the page and everything was set back to defaults.
Anyone got any insight here? I’m totally at a loss…
I have used the [gallery] shortcode to place gallery on a page of my site. The attached pictures show up fine, but when you click on one of them you get this error message:
Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist.
When I mouse over the picture it says the following in my status bar:
However, the file location is:
Anybody know why it is doing this or how to fix it!

I want to buy the new macbook pro and am trying to convince myself its okay to spend $2500 on a laptop = /
AWSOME TIPS !!
That’s what I was looking for. I knew I was missing something. Thanks a lot!
Probably less dpi you need? 300 is too much for that size IMHO .
I appreciate the input, but the 300dpi is required by the commercial printer the client uses…
any other thoughts??
I just finished a project creating a 8×12in poster at 300dpi. It ridiculously bogged down my comp and took about a half hour to save. The bigger problem is that i have a project coming up to create a 36×24in poster at 300dpi. How the hell a i going to do that if 8×12 nearly broke me!
Obviously I need a new comp, I know that part, but is there anyone that can create a 36×24in graphic at 300dpi without problems? Any ideas on what I should go for with a new comp since i am doing this kind of work?
