I search codecanyon for an image resize class and most demo’s doesn’t work for my purpose
I want to fetch an facebook cover photo (url through the API) resize and save to a new filename
The cover photo link looks like thishttps://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net%2Fhphotos-ak-xfp1%2Fv%2Ft1.0-9%2Fp480x480%2F1517383_630245130375586_1089416762_n.jpg%3Foh%3De2d120f00faa923f42f53848e081ea60%26oe%3D54A3E6FD%26__gda__%3D1419560294_36fcd131c7b6b3a9ff5bec7cc6f83efd&h=-AQHWjZ1R
It looks like the image classes don’t see this as an regular jpg image
Anyone any suggestion ? or know an image resizer class who can handle this ?
I use timthumb at this moment but this uses an hash txt file for the cache and I want an regulair filename.jpg in an cache directory
Great news @WebSmacker. One down 11400 to go
I just tried that ‘Google alert’ and use one of my items description. Oh my …... I didn’t knew that so many websites exists with our apps
So I won’t look again
I want to start another thread about the upcoming changes and discuss what I think should be changed (or you)
I start with my humble opinion..
I think that the overall quality of the items should be set to a higher level. I see to many items coming which doesn’t work like expected, bad documentation ect.. I bought myself more then 100+ items and except a few most of them didn’t work out of the box so I had to fix them for myself or have to wait till the author updated the package after some questions
Most of them have bugs, not finished and sometimes it looks like an author is placing a beta version instead of a full tested item app
If the items have not the right quality buyers will ask for support or even worse want a refund. In any case the buyer will be upset and will hestitate to buy more items on the Envato website.
I think that’s the reason Envato wants to set the support mandatory. (I think)
So invest more in reviewers. Only approve items who have a high standard quality and remove all the abandon and not so well written apps from Envato.(or set them onhold so an author can have the option to improve the item).
When the quality will rise less support is needed and buyers will be happy and Envato doesn’t have to make the support mandatory
I think it’s a choice. Do you want to be the biggest or the best Market place around
What will happen to really old items which haven’t been updated in years and have no contact from authors? Are you going to remove all of these?
I would like this to know as well. I see a lot of Elite Author’s who abandoned their items but still selling because they sell a lot in the past.
For a really good quality and support I think all these abandoned items should be set onhold so the seller can decide to remove the item or to update.
