I generally always include this kind of dashboard in my simple business apps and they are easy to build in any of the many admin templates you will find on themeforest (most include a sample dashboard to work from). I have used the CC item you mentioned and it works fine.

The obvious non-CC solution is something like Geckoboard but this may be too sophisticated for your needs. There are others like this that are also SaaS subscription based offerings.

This sounds like a relatively easy piece of work that most CC developers could do quickly using PHP and mysql database.

I’m trying to use the ‘inbound parse webhook’ provided by SendGrid to do this. I can’t get it to work but I’m sure that’s my fault not SendGrid. Otherwise this look like it will meet my needs.

Not looking for a ticketing system just something to receive emails into a CRM system. @easydevelopment – may come back to you if I can’t find anything to adapt myself.

Thanks again to all for responding.

Thanks to both for suggestions. CloneUI’s link looks interesting so will follow up. Appreciate your help.

Dear CloneUI – thanks for the links. Of course I have already searched Google and there are plenty of hits. I guess I was interested in what people have actually used and that they can recommend or if anyone is writing such a script to sell on CC.

I can find a lot of php email sending scripts on CC but none for receiving email into a PHP app. Does anyone know of one on CC or have you used one from elsewhere you can recommend?

By email receive I mean if an email is sent to a specific address e.g. customer@site.com the script can poll that email account and download from, subject, message and attachments for processing in a php app e.g. to write to a mysql table.

Has anyone developed a card-based app based on the kind of design paradigm discussed in this post?

Sorry but I’m really looking for someone who has worked with Fountain, not Wordpress, as I have already created a Wordpress add-in for screenwriting (its called sceneclass and was coded by Nick Ohrn).

Does anyone have any experience of integrating the Fountain (see fountain.io) markdown language for screenplays into a PHP app?

Any of you php/javascript gurus fancy creating a Dot On calendar? The designers have created a great idea for a calendar format – please check in with them first of course.

I’m imagining a monthly calendar wall that you drag the dots onto and then label the event name, time etc. Might be a cool new UI for event management?
