Probably a dumb question but I can’t seem to get rid of the “edit” I see on every page..? If a user clicks on it, it goes into the admin panel. Can you help..?

are you logged in as an admin? if so it will show up everytime. if your not logged in or logged in as a non-admin Id contact the theme author

Ahh – didn’t know about that. Also check out jQuery UI’s implementation.

I did and now is working in webkit but not in Firefox lol

EDIT : Is working now – I’m using jQuery UI Core + Effects Core (16kb)

Thanks so much for the help Jeffrey.
if it works in firefox opera and IE, why not use css3 check the sandbox(note Ive only set it upfor chrome and safari)
Why not jQuery and a CSS3 fallback if JavaScript is disabled? ;)

haha +1

I finally figured it out! From Philo01’s suggestion I did some more research on the topic of editing the hosts file.

I found this tutorial online saying how to edit the “hosts” file on Windows 7:

http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hosts-file/

So, my macbook pro has the name “macbook”. So in order to see my MAMP site over on my new PC, I edited that hosts file and simply added this line:

XX.X.X.X macbook.local

Basically forwarding “macbook.local” in the browser to the IP address of the macbook. Now I can see my WordPress site on my PC by going to macbook.local:8888 in the browser when my laptop is on. Then if I want to go out to the coffee shop or whatever, I can work on my site directly there on the laptop and see the site on my laptop at the exact same address (macbook.local:8888). Thus, home, school, Starbucks, I can edit my site without having to change any WordPress settings. The perfect workflow. Thanks, guys :-)

another solution is to ignore mamp completely and use the default server on OSX it takes some modification to set everything up but I use it with VirtualhostX and VMware but virtual box also works great

EDIT : this article may help its similar to how I have my set up CLICK !

I’m not really bothered about the funds, but i’d like the graphic across. Can I delete the graphic and re-upload it? And if so, is there somewhere I can download my own file without buying it?

i dont think thats allowed either why not have support just change your current name?? to download your own files go to your portfolio and theres a download link

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template. Stylesheet is missing.

Don’t insist on php 5.3. Its almost a war against every host on the market. Some even have php4 – which I cannot understand, because PHP4 has no more support at all – even security holes are not fixed anymore. If the host still uses php4 I tell my client to switch the host or manually to php5 – many hosts give this option. I agree, php 5.3 has maaany cool new features, such as namespacing, but, lets face it: If you get a newer php version than 4, you should be happy. :)

wont be much of an issue with future wordpress releases(well php4 that is) http://wordpress.org/news/2010/07/eol-for-php4-and-mysql4/
