Yogurt3D engine is currently under development, it is true. But collision is not about the engine. In tower defense demo, creeps finding closest path to the base (around obstacles) doesn’t mean that it is a good engine, it means it is a good demo. (In path-finding aspect anyway)
Purpose of demos are showing the quality of the engine. So in Room Demo, path-finding was not considered necessary. Besides, you can see depth-sorting algorithm works really well when a character is inside a chair. Not to mention that all demos except Head demo are at least 6 months old and sorting algorithm is being improved.
When people rate a 3D Flash engine, mainly they should check performance(number of polygons it can show), and depth sorting of polygons. In Animated Head Demo Yogurt3D can show more than 60K with 7-8 FPS on a good machine and I think it’s approximately the same with Away3d Lite’s.
If you know a high polygon demo of a Flash 3D engine please share.
Weird. Do you get it in all demos?
There are few games and a virtual world currently be produced using the engine. None of them is complete yet. I will post links when they are.
I want to pronounce you a new Flash 3D Game Engine currently under development, called Yogurt3D. It does not require any additional plugins. XSI Exporter available, Maya exporter is on the way and an exporter for 3DS Max will be released later.
Check out demos here.
PS: Frame rates on Internet Explorer might be low. I recommend using other browsers for now.
I have wrote a little air up that notify you about your new sales. I think most authors use this app http://www.blog.mpcreation.pl/iflashden-053-windows-bug-fix/ here you can download it
I downloaded this one a few weeks ago, but it’s not working properly for me. It shows sales without any problems at first, but after leaving it running for like 15 minutes, it indicates a purchase has been made, after that nothing can be seen on the main screen(sales nor balance), and when I check the site, I see no sales were made. I guess I’m the only one experiencing this since you didn’t correct it. I re-installed but same thing happened. Using WinXP.
Maybe there should be a feature that reminds people to rate the files they purchased every time they are online, so there wouldn’t be files with more than 100 purchases but with 10 ratings. In the end one person’s opinion would “really” mean nothing and this situation would not be a “real” problem.
You should import tween classes first.
And yes, tweenEvent is necessary.
Always ensure that you’re using a secure website when submitting credit card or other sensitive information via your Web browser.Phishers are now able to ‘spoof,’ or forge BOTH the “https://” that you normally see when you’re on a secure Web server AND a legitimate-looking address. You may even see both in the link of a scam email. Again, make it a habit to enter the address of any banking, shopping, auction, or financial transaction website yourself and not depend on displayed links.
BTW , is that my preloader I see?
617 at first play.
Great game, I loved it. Too many objects sometimes make game to stall though (that’s why I couldn’t score more :P) I have Core 2 Duo so I guess it should be a little more light-weighted. Maybe faster balls and objects with more delay between them. Keep it up!
