In the next week or so I’ll be doing the opposite: taking a top selling WordPress theme and releasing it as an HTML template.

I agree with the others. The typography is the largest problem here. Also the color palette seems a bit gloomy. The other main problem I see is that the layout is way too wide (~1200px).

Seems a bit lame to blame it on the Apple placement. Other templates clearly didn’t get the same restriction.

Stick to the original statement: this just isn’t aesthetically pleasing enough.

I agree with valen, anyone using a purchased template as a portfolio piece really shouldn’t be making/selling sites.

Show some respect for your fellow designers (that sold you the template so cheap it made the job possible)
