This is my cat Feli, she loves boxes!
Thank you joiaco and mixmedia. I will try both suggestions. Maybe one of them will satisfy the printer
Xiox saidThe problem is, that this file must be printed. And the printer said to me, he can not use my file. I’ve made the protruding objects invisible by using a cutting mask. But the printer wants all objects outside to be removed. I can make a JPG, but he wants an editable EPS. That is the main problem.
Are the pieces outside of the art board? If so I think you can set your save settings so that it only sees what’s inside the art board.
Maybe I’m wrong, but you could use Pathfinder. Create a shape over the areas that you want to cut off, select both objects, then click on the ‘Minus Front’ option in the Pathfinder panel. This should delete the newly created shapes and the artwork underneath it.
Thank you for your help Xiox. This might be the best way, if you only have one or two objects. But I have very much smaller pieces and elements, that should be cutted.
can somebody help me? I have to cut off several protruding elements in Illustrator to make this file printable. I’ve tried it with a cutting mask, but this wasn’t the solutions I needed. What else can I do get a clean solution?
