I never was a member of facebook. I’m not really interested to read what other people do the whole day :-)

A person may have a great item, high standard and not having sales in 3 months. Some elite authors dont have have sales on some of their high standard files. But later on, this similar file gets many sales..
Curious, do you have an example of this other than seasonal items?

That would interest me too.

@ KingDog

I’m not really satisfied with this answer. A lot of authors do there best and have really great designs. But they disappear in a few days in the crowd. So why should they do there best, spend a lot of time in creating first class items, when they are washed away by the mass of low quality items? At the moment graphicriver lives up to his name … blubb, blubb :-)

Imagine you go to a store and you will find the collections of the last five years there. Even the products that have been shelf warmers. The whole store would be crammed full with the articles. Would you go inside?? It is the normal way, that non selling products are sorted out.

I have the urge to write something!

There is no need to accuse each other, everyone has the right to try out one way or another. But there must be some guidelines that can not be written nor explained but can be very effective. If you want to be creative, you can not just go to the store and buy 2kg of creativity at a discount or a pound of knowledge and experience. It does not work that way.

It would be much simpler (and very effective) if each item had automatic deletion!

For example: If an item does not sell within 60 days will be automatically deleted from the marketplace. So for two months, we will have instead 230.000, maybe about 180.000 items, which is quite acceptable, and quality would increase to approximately 20% (of course, this is just a guess) But I am sure it will work!

This should not be related to the Fonts, Logos and Icons category (perhaps vectors).

I stayed on the 80 items for 6 months. For 6 months, I’ve done about 12 items, so I deleted about 12 older items, these older items are sold poorly and does not need to be in stock, because they are obviously out of date or they are not of sufficient quality.

Be an elite author does not mean that your items sell consistently. From my experience it’s the opinion of the authors who have not yet become an elite. Every day you have to keep track of what is happening in the world of graphics, what and how much to offer and how to be innovative, and in which direction, because not every innovation is a winning combination. But if the item has quality, some success is guaranteed.

How to know what’s the good quality with no experience or experience purchased at a discount? Well, we have our reviewers that would substantiate that.

This is my opinion and the way I work. Cheers

That is exactly what I think! And it is a really good idea to remove items that have no sales. I also would suggest to remove older items, that have no sales in a year (or half a year). I myself would have no problem with this. I’ve removed also some of my items with poor quality or low sales. So please, please dear envato team listen to us!

For me it was a reversal from a sale 3 weeks ago. But this week I had 3 sale reversals. That’s heavy. Never had this before.
