Yeah, actually I know that I probably could earn more as a freelancer – but you know – clients come, clients go and for the moment a contracted position would be fine for me to collect some more experiences and so. I don’t have a clue how things are generally working in the U.S. Is everybody paying the taxes by his/her own or does the company where you work at cover you? I guess we have a quite different system over here.

@cline to be honest you’re propably right – I’ve searched for “average monthly salary united states” and only found some sites giving me informations about average monthly salary – but from india to pakistan, but not the U.S. Maybe I would found a site on the 3rd page of the results providing some infos about the U.S. but I didn’t went that far – my bad.

I just have a quick question to all the authors/designers/developers from the US.

What’s the average monthly salary for freelancers in the US? And what’s the average monthly salary for full time, contracted webdesigners? And what does a “standard” contract include? Paid Holidays? Insurance? Any Extras?

At the moment I don’t have any idea about informations about this topic and also google doesn’t deliver an accurate result. That’s why I thought to ask around here, since here are many professionals with serious experience.
