Ok so the new law is applied in the next year… let’s talk about situations ?
What happens if ?
Situation 1. We always were the actual seller and will be.
Situation 2. Envato was the seller and we were just content providers, envato paid us commission. But in next year (2015) we will be direct sellers.
Situation 3. Envato was the seller but now it will change it’s direction and become a commission based system.
Situation 4. Envato was commission based system and it will stay that way.
What situation brings what consequences ? What happens in each situation ? What will happen to envato and us as authors in each situation?
Or we could find every thread about buyers and every envato sentense about how “we cannot disclose who the buyer is and in what country he resides”...
“We are not allowed to show the emails directly”
“We cannot show the username who purchased the item”
“We cannot let you contact the buyer as we are saving buyers privacy”
We never did sell directly and never will (thats why we chose envato in first place)... this is just wrong. And I have no idea why Collis is saying that and changing direction of the truth.
SALES where art thou ?
What is needed to prove that person is non-US person ?
This is totally ridiculous… EU VAT??? :))) There is no contact with buyer, there never was one and there will never be…. We are getting an obvious commision. And obviously envato sends us the money not the buyer….
I stay in Europe and i am totally calm because there is no possible logical way to know who is your buyer. For the whole 4 years i am selling in envato marketplaces it was commision and it is.
Envato going to be in a big trouble if they try to change the past and try to pretend it was different.
