Congrats, well done!
Congrats to the shiny new paw John!
Great Idea – Thanks!
It’s just like a customer purchasing a “Regular” license in our current Music category instead of an “Extended” license. Will it occasionally happen? Unfortunately, yes. But is it some huge problem that will wipe out AudioJungle? No, of course not. Like most situations in life, 99.9% of your customer base are going to be honest and fair and will purchase the correct license. It’s that 0.1% that are dishonest and will unfortunately always exist.
Well, yes, thats a good point.
All in all, I think the service has the potential to meet Beatports example. The price can vary, but high quality will always remain.
Yes, I think so too, Derek.
Scott, I think a fixed price of $2 is fine! And the possibility of authors setting their own price might end up – just like you mentioned in your post above – in authors trying to undercut other authors.
Just one more thing Scott, you said “we will NOT be allowing existing AudioJungle royalty-free music to be submitted to TRAX ” – does this include different versions of a song? And by “different” I mean significant different – like not just a little longer. (although this might be up to the review team whether or not a track is different enough to be submitted)
Ok … seems like good idea, but I’m predicting 75% drop in royalty free music sales. Right now we can’t trace wher our music going to, so I thik loads of peoply will be cheating on the basis: “oh … I didn’t know / realise the licence” etc.
I don’t think that’s likely to happen because the genres that sell the most on Audiojungle are Corporate, Motivational and Cinematic Instrumental tracks, which won’t be available on TRAX . On the other side, the “TRAX” will bring whole new category of customers to Audiojungle which is great.
Well, actually, most of my tracks on my AJ-profile are the same style/genre I would sell via TRAX ! (Chillout, Ambient, Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, House, etc.) So this might be a problem in fact.
I’d also like to know, is it possible to submit a different version of a track from my AJ-portfolio to TRAX ? Like, can I submit any of my best selling AJ tracks (most likely ambient tunes) in a different version? (for instance a “extended version”, “long version”, or just “TRAX-version”)
Anyways, TRAX might be really interesting! Thanks for the heads up Scott!
Herzlich willkommen im Jungle!
