I’m not understanding… You wish to purchase a PSD template then sell it as your own?

I like the overall design, I think the ‘header – head’ has too much orange blank space. This day and age you need to remember about responsive designing even if its not what its intended for.

I’m on a 1680×1050 resolution, and when it first loads I see the ‘golden triangle’ if you aren’t familiar with this, it is what the eyes naturally are prone to see first glimpse. ‘Top Left’ – ‘Bottom Right’ – ‘Bottom Left’ – ‘Top Left’. Your template should always emphasize what you are trying to sell within that range.

Now going further in web design we all know about ‘folds’ example; ‘above the fold’ ‘below the fold’. This means the actual area a visitor ‘sees’ without having to scroll. This is called ‘above the fold’ that’s your killer point of sale. If someone visits your site and does not understand the meaning of it within the top fold (without scrolling) they are 98% chance of clicking that dreadful ‘X’ (close) button. Get your point across within the first few lines so they know why they are there.

Again, your 100% width white space doesn’t start until below the fold and I can’t understand what the template emphasizes until I scroll. Don’t take this as a gypsy heartache, I’m telling you from my own experience which this knowledge makes us ALL be better web designers.

Best of luck!

I’m new also… From what I understand, YES you can. If you incorporate ‘slider revolution’ into your theme/template you are selling, you MUST buy the extended license. This validates you to sell it within this template only.

If you decide to create another new template and want to incorporate ‘slider revolution’ you must buy another extended license.

Spam me if I’m wrong elders but this is what I understand.

Let me start off by saying, I joined envato after being in the “Adult Design” business for 15 years and came to the conclusion, mainstream pays better since the ‘tubes’ wrecked’ the adult biz.

You have a solid concept of this type of design which I don’t believe most people here can relate (possibly some). When I see your concept I see a few things: 1) Adult Toy affiliate party. (Client hosted) 2) Business selling niche related templates

Your overall drive isn’t mentioned. What are you trying to sell from this? Is this a template some housewife wants to use for her new gig to sell adult toys? Is this a template to start your own online webcam/dating site?

Think of what you want to accomplish and go from there. Overall it’s not bad but you need to emphasize on what this template is for. Remember most people buying in this marketplace are looking for specific details to their wanting. If its meant to be a dating site, go ahead and design that, if its meant to be a affiliate commission store emphasize on that. First impressions above the fold are key. This is where you thrust your vision.

I must admit, this template sucks some ass. I’m not afraid to say so as some designers. It is funny when you stumble upon an old ‘dev’ folder or an old cd disc and see what you were creating back then compared to what you create now. Every time I see my old designs I’m like “what was I thinking?”

Thanks for the responds everyone!

Funny you asked, I was in need of a placeholder video for my designs. There are a few out there:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQu8TTBmGhA www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5aTVfVVZjU www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScMzIvxBSi4

These are what I found, didn’t like them to much so I created my own here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4qQK_N0UuI

You can create your own very easily if you have a image editing application that exports as *.gif’. Many people think they actually need a ‘video’ to do this which is not the case. A simple picture with a short delay will suffice as a video placeholder.

Here is how I did this: 1) Install Easy Gif Animator 2) Design a simple image for your place holder 3) Load it into Easy GIF Animator and set its delay. 4) Export ‘As AVI’

This will make your image into a small .avi clip. Yeah its not very creative and animated (which you can do) but its a placeholder for your demos.

Go ahead and upload this to http://www.youtube.com and you will have your own custom video placeholder.

Hope this helps…

If you mean, ‘will the marketplace be down for the holidays’ then I would say no, many people have time off work and college kiddies are home for the holidays. This means many people coming home for the holidays although have more time to do invest in what they come here for.

I would say, Yes, it is a good time. (from my experience)

Teasers can be in many shapes and forms, I guess you would have to post a sample of what you are trying to implement to get some help.

2nd version much better :) Here’s some feedback:

The main menu could probably use some work. Specifically, the text inside the buttons. I’m also not crazy about how the buttons look when the page is scrolled.

The left side of the header might look better if it were centered vertically. Same thing with the “See Why” button.

The paragraph text in the “specs” should probably have the same line-height as the other paragraphs on the page.

Lastly I’d think about animating the page scrolling when the buttons are clicked. And I’d also fade in those tabs when clicked.

Hope that helps. Good luck :)

That helps a lot. Thank you!
