I’ve experimented with a few methods, post attachments, individual image uploads. I’ve found the best solution is a batch upload metabox, where users can quickly upload images, you grab the URLs into an array and build a gallery with it. Though some would argue that post formats shouldn’t use external metaboxes, in which case you’d want to build a system using the_content and the WordPress gallery short code :)

I think I’ll follow your advice as there are no robust way to get the images in the gallery shortcode and display it in a slider with out deleting the images of gallery shortcodes. A meta box would do the job.

Thanks :)

Currently, there is no standard way on how to handle post which is on gallery format. Nevertheless, I would wish to know what is the best approach here.

Cheers!

Goodluck everyone! My theme just got rejected. There is no way I can resubmit it in one day :)

Cheers

This is cool, except when you are trying to join a “Most Wanted Event”.

Cheers!

You need to submit your item before the end of day Wednesday Feb 5th 2014, 23.59 AEDT. We typically wait a week to make sure any held/submitted items are processed before establishing the full set of winners.

Thanks for the reply. There is a case:

An author submit an item before the 5th and it was soft rejected. The author fix some issues and submitted the same item again on 5th before midnight, and it was held on queue. The theme was later approved after the 5th (maybe after 4 days, etc. ). Does the theme still eligible for this contest? Thanks
Yes in this case the item is still eligible.

Thanks a lot!

They said “All the themes submitted before 5th.”. As in, if you submit Jan 4th 23:59, you’d be eligible. Well, according to this statement made in the first post: “Submit your items on or after Wednesday, December 11th 2013 and before the competition closes on Wednesday Feb 5th 2014, before midnight AEDT.” Can any staff confirm? Cheers!
Hello, According to the first post in this thread, final submission has to occur before the 5th Feb. at 23:59 AEDT:
“Submit your items on or after Wednesday, December 11th 2013 and before the competition closes on Wednesday Feb 5th 2014, before midnight AEDT.”

How about you submitted a file yesterday and it was accepted after the 5th of this month? Thanks
